Very funny. The thing I notice, now that my daughters are in their early thirties, is that 40 is held up jokingly as where a line is drawn, and they are less than a decade away from that now. From this vantage point 40 looks extremely young!
Tunics don’t work for me, by and large — they often emphasize rather than downplay my wide hips/saddlebag area, and the proportions are rarely good, as they can visually chop me in half, but I fully endorse wearing what makes one happy and comfortable! My BFF loves tunics.
