Claudia, I'm I'm 5'2" and it hit at the top of my knees. The dark color is teal, and the lighter color is a greenish turquoise (I think of turquoise as more on the blue side), even a pastel teal. I am usually a smaller size on top than on bottom, and I ordered my bottom size. It fits close on top and is pretty free around the hips.

Kari, yes, I feel so good in it that I came home from work, opened the box and tried it on, and didn't want to take it off! Always a sign it's a keeper. Thanks to everyone who recommended it!

It looks beautiful neeva! I have that style in the black with red/salmon/peach print and I do enjoy wearing it

alaskagirl - I think you might have ordered the print I have, and I believe the sleeves are the same length as neeva's. I think neeva just pushed her sleeves up.

I'm thinking someone should start a thread of "how you wore your Nine West dress" since so many of us have the same item! The dress is bold enough on its own, but I'm always curious as to how others are pairing it with footwear or jewelry, or even outerwear.

Good idea, Kari - especially since Nine West already put it out in at least three prints (was it that popular?) and maybe there will be even more. . .

Okay, here's the one I got, which should arrive soon:

Neeva- what a fabulous dress on you.
Kari- I was thinking the same thing. I was waiting for it to cool down here though, but yes we need a 'nine west dress fashion show" thread

Yes, alaskagirl - that's mine too. We are dress twins! and we have lots and lots of dress siblings

Neeva, it looks great on you!

I'd love to see a "Nine West dress fashion show" thread. Such fun to see how the same dress looks on all different body shapes.

The fan dress kicks on! I love the colours on this version. Looks like it fits you perfectly as well!!

Looks great on you. I have it in the red and it's become known in my circle as "the magic dress" because of how many compliments I get when I wear it. I'm almost tempted to get it in the green as well!

Well, the dress arrived. I love the colors! It fits perfect! It looks fab! It does it's flattering figure magic! -- BUT it is too much on the edge of being too short for me to wear as a dress at my age (it looks anywhere between 2-4 inches above my knee depending how a stand/move) AND yet it's too long to hit in my tunic sweet spot, which would be mid-thigh.

The length it hits on Neeva would be the ideal length for me, but there is a 6" difference in our height, so you can imagine how much shorter it is on me.

I will spend some time over the weekend seriously evaluating it with different styling to see what I should do with it and looking at it with fresh eyes before deciding on sending it back for sure.

Queenie, you are close to my height. Can you get away with wearing it as a dress? If so, how many inches above the knee does your's hit on you?

I don't have a digital camera right now, or a picture phone, so I can't post pics for YLF evaluation, or else I would.

Oh Claudia, that's so disappointing. Would you consider getting it hemmed to tunic length?

Yes, I thought about that but wonder if the sort of fuller, swingy skirt part would billow out too much if hemmed and make it less flattering. I also thought about adding a band of similar jersey knit black fabric to the bottom and maybe the sleeves. But that might spoil the style of the dress and look weird. It's probably worth discussing both options with a tailor. I have a good retired dressmaker that I've used.

Thanks for your thoughts, neeva.

Fabulous dress! How do you feel about swapping out your opaque hose for something a little more sheer?

Thanks Angie! I see what you mean about the sheerer hose. I will definitely try that.

That's what I thought too Angie - the hose looks heavy.

I have worn black microfishnets with mine, if that helps.

Oy. I swore I wasn't going to shop any more, but I couldn't resist ordering this dress. Can't wait for it to get here!

MaryK, I think you will love it and that it should look fantastic on you. I am glad you decided to get it. It would have been a great addition to my wardrobe had it been several inches longer in the hem. I sent it back on my lunch hour. I decided that I was done with closet orphans, but I loved this dress so much that I ordered one for my petite sized daughter and had it shipped it to her at college as a surprise package. At least I'll get to admire it on her in person and on all the YLFer's WIWs. It's truly a stunner of a dress!

Lovely fan print dress, looks fab on you.

sorry it didn't work out, Claudia, but sending one to your daughter is a great solution! That's the kind of care package we'd all love to get.
