New Loot--keep or return? - YouLookFab Forum

I went shopping today to replace my white jeans which are suffering from a most unfortunate stain. I will continue to try and resuscitate them, but it seems pretty touch and go right now. Jeans are hard to buy, white jeans even more so since they need to be substantial enough, etc. I don't have much time to look around, so I went straight to Miss Sixty and came home with new jeans, tee, and bag. (I don't know how those other things followed me home.)

I am wondering:
1. Does this outfit work to your eye? Is the stripey bag too much with the stripey shirt, or is it cute? I tried it with two different shoes. I would also wear flats with this. The jeans aren't hemmed yet--I just folded the hems over.
2. The back pocket on these is a little unusual--it is seamed and is supposed to have butt-lifting properties, which I don't know that I need, but the other style of white pants was see-through, so there you go. I think the creasing under my butt might be a little odd, but inspired by Angie's attitude to her rear, I am thinking, well the crotch is all good, so it's a go? (See her coral pant thread if you don't know what I am talking about http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....w-days-ago) Also my in-house fashion advisor gave them the thumbs up.
3.The shirt is opaque in front but sheer in the back. I think this is okay with a dark or colored bra for fun time. When it is not appropriate I would wear a cami underneath. What do you think?
4. The bag. It was not too expensive. I like how it is Chanel-inspired but a little whack. I like that the chain can be worn long or short. It is just for fun. It would make my work colleagues hyper-ventilate with its senselessness, which is always fun. I don't have anything like it. Fun or cheesy? Sorry some of the photos are out of focus. I found the camera but apparently forgot how it works.

Finally, The charm dangling on my butt is removable. I just didn't remove it yet.

Scarlet-Rosie, you are just so gorgeously fab! LOOOOVE the animal print bag with the stripey top. I vote KILLER combination. Get the bag!

I think the jeans and bag are outstanding, I really like them and think the bag could actually be quite versatile when you are not needing to carry much. Whilst I like the t-shirt I don't love it as much as other pieces. Both pairs of shoes are fab.

I don't adore the t-shirt, but I'm very picky when it comes to prints. I love the fit of the jeans, the shoes and the bag is fun too!

The good thing about white pants is that they can be bleached....(unless the unfortunate accident involved an encounter with an ink pen; I've never gotten those blotches out.......)

Hopefully you'll be able to rescue them and then you'll have 2 fab white pants.

Yes, everything looks so fabulous. Those white pants fit you incredibly well. The top is fun and hip. So are the shoes and bag! I love both sets of shoes with this.

Everything looks great. Try putting the stained pair in the sun after washing - if that doesn't work nothing will (I have little kids so my regime is Zout, oxiclean, sun, trash).

To all, thanks so much for the feedback. I wore my jeans and bag out to brunch this morning, so they are officially mine. I will keep the top too, but it was a bit cold today.

Isis - thanks--I am still hoping that some hydrogen peroxide or bleach will do the trick. There were a couple of colored details on my old white jeans that I liked, but no point in having pants I can't wear at all. If I do end up with 2 pairs then I won’t have to be so vigilant with the laundry.

Elpgal - am I a decisive shopper? I suppose so. I usually have pretty strong feelings about what I buy and I tend to go for things with unique details. What is your shopping style?

Scarlet, I usually know what I don't like but can't settle on something l like. I bring home 10 things that I sort of like and then proceed to return them progressively. Drives my husband crazy.
