Many of you asked me to report back after I started my new job, and I have to say that my first impression is that it will be a GREAT fit. I'll be returning to some functions and roles that I used to perform in former jobs and have really missed, and I'll be learning many new skills and tasks that I could see influencing the direction of my career. The team I'm working with seems very collaborative and helpful, and the rest of the month will involve a great deal of training & jumping into the role.

I know that's awfully vague since I don't feel comfortable disclosing my specific job or company here, but I do want to say that I'm extremely excited and hopeful that the job and company could be a great long-term fit for me.

I can't say enough how much I appreciate you chiming in with supportive, encouraging comments last week. You have no idea how helpful all of you were. Thank you.

P.S. I'm thinking it must be a great week for job searching - both my boyfriend & my sister found great, exciting jobs within the last week after very long search processes, and I am *thrilled* for them.
