New jacket - keep or return? Help!

I had to return a silk shirt to La Chateau and they only do exchanges or store credit so I looked around the store to see if I liked anything. This jacket did not appeal to me at first as the pattern seemed too casual but when I put it on I quite liked it. Right now I have red Hinge jacket, black/white tweed-like chanel jacket, soft black fitted jacket and brown fitted leather jacket. I thought that this one is quite different from what I have both in style and pattern/color so I bought it.
Now I have second thoughts when I tried to play with it in my closet: looks like it does not work with everything I have but I found some possible combinations:
#1-3 - with wide leg pants. I am not sure if it looks good from the back. It is also quite short on me on the back so the belt from the pants shows.
#4-5 - with a pencil skirt
#6 - with a black sheath
#7 - with skinnies and longer top under it
I cannot make my mind - please help! I can return it tomorrow if it is not a winner - what do you think?

Well, I can't stand behind keeping something that isn't very versatile and that you are not head over heels in love with to boot. But, here's my feedback on the outfits...

1. Don't love it from the side, however was surprised at how cute it is from the front, so it might be good IRL.
2. I do quite like it with the pencil skirt. I prefer this over the trouser look.
3. This is sweet, as well. I like that it kind of makes the dress seem more funky and less formal.
4. This is my favorite look! It looks QUITE cute with the denim.

I like it, and I like it on you, and I think (if I'm not mistaken) it actually will be pretty versatile in your closet, which seems to be organized around black and grey. But this is enough of a statement piece that I think you need to really be committed to it to keep it--and it sounds like you aren't. (I speak as someone who has bought more not-worn-much statement pieces than I would care to admit.)

Sveta, I like it best in #6. But if I'm to be totally honest, you are such a gorgeous lady that I'm not sure this coat deserves you. I think it hides your figure a bit too much.

I really love this shape of jacket, and I think it fits you the way it should. You wear a lot of black and grey, but could you try it with red or other colors too? It might be more versatile than you think. It does look somewhat casual to me for your style, but that might be a good thing to add into your wardrobe! How do you feel wearing it?

I could over think this or give you my first reaction. So I'll go with my first reaction.

I like it on you. I like it on you in everything, especially in the skirt and sheath. It's hard to make office type wear interesting and this does the trick.

It also doubles nicely for casual days as you have proven in the final photo with denim.

My only concern is, how much longer will you wear it? It's been warming up a lot here in central Calif. and I've got spring on my mind!

I really like the jacket in 6,7. I think this jacket works better with a dress or a longer top. Even though I do actually like outfit 1, but I am not sure about the belt issue. The big red tag shows it would look great with a red accessories

I really like this jacket, if reminds me of the flutter cardigans but in jacket form. And I liked all outfit options, especially with the skirt, dress and skinny jeans. My least favorite version was the wide pants, the jacket had enough volume on it's own.

I like the jacket in terms of the print and the shape is cool .It looks nice BUT I don't think it is quite perfection on you.And I have see you AMAZING in alot of stuff Sveta! If you have doubts I think you should pass...

It seems as if where the opening of the jacket falls is a bit long which makes it fall in an awkward place in both pants and skirts. I vote return because of the fit. You can do better!!

Because it is such a statement piece, with its cut and pattern, I believe it needs pairing with understated pieces, so it rules over, rather than fights with, its companions.

Therefore, to my eye it looks fab with the dress - really creates an outfit, and I like it very much.

With pants, you might try having the lighter color on top, under the jacket, with black or dark pants/skirt below.

If you're on the fence, though - how could it hurt to return for a store credit and then use towards some wonderful new piece for spring? You'll be retiring it fairly soon - will it be a friend you cannot wait to see come next winter?

In any case, I always enjoy your photos - you have such presence!

I love it with the sheath dress and with the skinnies! I feel like it would work with any sheath dress and skinnies you have (if you have more of those items, that is).

You helped me to make up my mind. I have decided that if this jacket gets so mixed opinions and I have doubts then it is better to return it...which I just did.
