new jacket and houndstooth tights

Apologies in advance for lighting issues in pictures... I'm editing the best I can

Here is the jacket that I ordered from the Nordies sale. I really like it..so comfy. Then I bought a dress at H&M today (which I won't even bother to show you) but after H&M I went to target and thought these tights would be cute with the dress. Said dress is marching itself straight back to the store, but I wanted to see if I could make the tights work with something else. Here they are (grey/black houndstooth) with black sheath, new jacket and oxfords.
What is the verdict? yay or nay on the tights? Anyone have any objections to the jacket? speak now or forever hold your peace.....

Oh my, I love the jacket! Very classic without looking too businessy--the neckline is very feminine and I love the buttons! Looks awesome with the sheath and the adorable hosiery--what a fun ensemble, Kim! Your style quotient is sizzling. Remind me to dress up a bit when we make that appointment for coffee!

Very nice jacket and the tights are keepers too. I think you'll find they work with many of your skirts.

Keep the tights--they look great on your legs.

Keep the jacket too--it looks like the ideal thing to have to wear as the weather gets cooler.

Is H&M now open at Oakridge?

Rita.. this sheath is from a few years ago from Loft. It originally had short sleeves but I removed them.

msMaven, yes H&M has been open a while now at Oakridge. And it looks like F21 is moving into the old Borders location. That end of the mall is going to be crawling with teeneyboppers

I really like the jacket and the new tights, and I think the dress is fab, but I'm ambivalent about the jacket and dress together....It's partly the shape of the dress (seems a bit A-line) and partly that, at least on my monitor, they look like they sort of match, making it seem like you had an interview to go to, but no suit, so you threw these two pieces together...Don't know if that ramble makes any sense (and maybe you weren't planning to wear these together anyway), but I know how you appreciate straight talk, Kim :).

hmmm, I hear you on that Jonesy. Not that I was planning to wear this pairing weekly, but I kindof hoped that the shoes and tights added enough sass to take away from the interview vibe... I guess I saw it as a bit of irony?
