Looks great- but what a time to be moving!

You know, once all the physical work is done, it actually doesn't seem like a bad time to be stuck inside, organizing and unpacking. I'm sure it makes it harder to acquire all those little things you didn't know you needed before you got into the new home (shower curtains, storage organization, window coverings, etc.), and definitely harder to get to know your new neighborhood, but I always think of moving as one of those "time out of a time" life events, like international vacations, bringing home a new baby, the illness/death of a loved one..or, we now know, a pandemic.

Your closet looks great! I'm always soothed by matching hangers, and I use the basket system too. I love how you have a dedicated nook for your iron and clothing care items. Enjoy having all your things in one place!

How lovely Suz, wow, though, what a time to move. Your clothes look happily settled and tidy - how super. I love it when furniture becomes old friends.

Congratulations on your move and on making your new house into a home! Oooh your closet and storage solutions are so soothing to view. I love to see things looking neat, tidy and intentional. Thank you for sharing.

Mr. Suz, can rest now! All DONE. Extra cuppa and cake all round...

Congrats! It all looks fantastic. So organized and neat. That must be such a pleasure.

Angie, we did have cake last night! Delicious olive oil and orange peel cake.

Jenn, that's exactly right. I'm exploring the neighbourhood on foot (lots of paths and trails here) and while it's weird not to have many friends here (and not to be able to see the ones we do have) and not to know our neighbours and not to be able to contribute much to the community, and yeah, there are a lot of little things it would be nice to do/ have that we don't be doing /having until restrictions relax a bit, the house is liveable as is and it's nice to get it sorted. I have to remind myself that I still need to work, though -- I have more work than I can deal with right now and so I'm actually juggling quite a lot -- it's not really a quiet time for me here.

Elizabeth P, yes this is the new home. We sold the Kingston house last spring, moved most of our furniture in November, and made the final move from Vancouver a few weeks ago.

That is a great looking closet.Happy unpacking!

Total closet organization nirvana! Congrats on your move, Suz.

Looks very well organised! Congratulations on getting settled in. A move is stressful at the best of times. Now at least you can enjoy your @home time a bit more.

OOOH, yum! Can I can have the recipe for the olive oil and orange cake?

Love closet organizing! Good work!

Angie, alas, I did not bake it! It came from a bakery in Vancouver and it is beyond delicious. I know that part of the secret is the candied orange peel on top. I think they also use orange flour water, some cornmeal in the batter, and a very good olive oil.

Oh, thanks for sharing! It's always inspiring to see photos of beautifully organized closets. Such a satisfying accomplishment.

Congrats on the new house and thanks for sharing the lovely; soothing pix

I bet it feels nice to be settled and now you can enjoy your new home! Congrats!

Welcome home, Suz. Once the wardrobe is organized, one feels more settled. It looks terrific and there is a thrill in having it all visible. Happy settling in.

Lovely! Congrats on the move and a nicely organized wardrobe. Victoria is one of my favorite places (I’ve vacationed there 4 time in the past 17 years). I remember it as wonderful town for walking (and eating!j. So glad to hear you are safely settled in a beautiful place.
