Thanks Angie. Love the idea of air drying as that is what I am used to. Please excuse my ignorance, I still don't understand what wave enhancing product is? What am I looking for at the shops?
Here's another pic, after the matt paste, and incidentally, with my new glasses.

Very cute on you!

For more volume, if you don't want to wrestle with a round brush (which I find impossible to do) you could try a hot dryer brush like the one in this find. I use it regularly to add bend to the ends of my long hair, but when I had shorter hair I would use it to add volume to my roots!

I like your new cut, very flattering! As everyone else has said it is hard to get used to a new cut. I even have a hard time when I have a cut that is supposedly the same as the one I just had! The right product makes a huge difference but sometimes you have to try a few to get one that works best for you. I had a similar style to yours for many years and had to blow dry it every day or it wouldn't behave at all.

By "wave-enhancing product," Angie might have meant a curl cream, or maybe any product specifically formulated for waves and curls (it would be obvious from the packaging, as that is a big selling point). Sea salt spray also happens to be a wave enhancer.

LOVE your new glasses, they really open up your face. YLF!!!

Anne, I want one of those beauty filters on my camera! JuniperGreen posted a HotBrush. I love mine. I can't imagine how I would style my hair without it.
