Need some help with this boot

So i've been on a quest to find a grey ankle boot to my liking and during my internet travels i've ran into these:

and i love them(the black ones). I actually really just love that fold over style in general but really love everything about this particular pair -- online. But i'm questioning if the length of them and where they seem like they would hit on my leg might be non flattering for my leg line/thighs if i was wearing anything other than black or dark pants (like grey jeggings)? I do have long legs but....I'm not sure. Help?

Since you have long legs I think they will work great with any darker colored pant and the fact that you love them means they will get a lot of wear. They would be cute with a dress/skirt and dark tights as well.

As long as you keep the colour contrast between your legs and boots low - you'll be happy with the result.

Ok so my grey jeggings would probably be a no go then as they're in the lighter side. Thanks for the help! I'll keep an eye on these and return to my grey ankle boot quest for now since that's something I actually feel I need rather than another (adorable) pair of black boots....*sigh* why can't they come in grey??!

Nicole, grey matched with black is low contrast and will therefore work.

Even really light grey Angie? I know it's not high contrast like white but I was thinking you were meaning like black, dark blue and greys that are more charcoal.

I could post a picture of the jeggings I'm talking about cause I've posted them on here in a WIW look before but I'm using my iPhone @ the moment...

I see what you mean about the gray being light. But you look great in the photo and the shoes are a contrasting color. I think you have long enough legs you don't need to be concerned about it.

Can you buy them, try them, then return if they don't work? I think they are really cute and if you like 'em and what you are saying they will work. They also can be cute with a little dress or skirt. I understand your gray jegging dilemma....seems like it may be ok, but you can only tell if you have them. Even if it doesn't work w/the gray, they are still darling enough to wear with other stuff if you like them enough!

Yeah i can definitely try and return. I'm thinking about it. I was thinking I *need* some grey ankle boots to go with those pants that have a little height on them, and i already have a few cute pairs of black boots, but i really like this pair a lot better than any grey ankle boots i've found.......so if it works, i'll be super happy.

Now i'm just waiting to get my happy birthday discount coupon (my bday is Jan. 4th) from DSW in the mail!
