MPJ, I decided to keep it. I put it through all its paces and it'll be fine.

My mom was in town until a few hours ago and we ran by Nordstrom while we were out. I tried on a Medium, and she agreed it was too big everywhere but the arms, which were nearly the same as the Small. So I'm keeping the Small and I can't wait until fall so we can all wear our loot.

Angie, we did. We found a place nearby that could order and deliver a new fridge/freezer in 24 hours so we were back the game in no time:)

I hate to say it, but if your shoulders are at all wide, this jacket will be a miss. I never have a problem with a narrow shoulder in clothes, but Miss Sixty consistently seems to cut their tops tight in that area. Both the peacoat and a pleather jacket from NAS were similarly tight.

Honestly, if I wasn't having such a love affair with this coat, I wouldn't have bought it. There's definitely no layering under it.

Oooh, Beth - thank you for the (sad but helpful) input. Darn, I love this coat! Can I ask what size you got? I don't layer under my old peacoat either, but I don't want to be uncomfortable. If you don't want yours, should I buy it from you?

AG, I bought the Small. I tried a Medium and it was really odd: the sizing was bigger everywhere except the shoulders, which were just as tight as the Small. Very weird.

I do adore it though, and I wear it everywhere:)

Blargh! I think I'm going to give it a try - I can always return directly to our Nordstrom here. I too am smitten, and I need to see for myself. I will probably come groveling back to you saying sorry for not taking your advice!
