General surgeon came by, hernia repair can be done later as elective outpatient surgery. Hospitalist said he could be discharged tomorrow. Pneumonia was due to aspiration, not bacterial or viral. Pancreatitis was probably just inflammation from all the vomiting.

That's wonderful that he can be discharged tomorrow. Keeping you both in my thoughts.

So they're keeping Dad for one more day. I'm feeling better, but definitely weak. According to his doctor there is a stomach flu going around.
