Today I was in Nordstrom doing NAS returns. I had no plans to do any shopping. When I was finished I browsed around the mall a bit and then came back to Nordstrom to head for the parking garage underneath. I made a last minute decision to go to the second floor to check out the sales, with no expectations.
On the petites NAS sale rack I found this coat, in a Petite Large. I never see Petite coats in Nordstrom, someone must have returned it. It's a warm coat, perfect for my cold winters, the right size, and I think it's really pretty and a perfect style for me. Last winter I was looking to buy a fur collar/scarf I could wear with coats, and this has one built in. Also I have wanted a camel/toffee overcoat for more years than I can count. It will not break my budget. WOW. Check, check, check...
I still don't have my laptop back and finds don't work on my old clunker, so here is a link to the coat, which I found in the camel color

Then I started the mental conversation. "Do I really need another wool coat? No, I have a perfectly reasonable collection already". I stopped right there. Reasonable? Is that how I want to decide? I've always been the reasonable one, followed the rules, never made waves. For some reason it hit me that I did NOT want to make this decison based solely on being reasonable.
Does it fit? I think so. It's designed to be a bit oversized and I'm wearing a light jacket under it in the photo. The sleeves are just a bit long.
So, dear fabbers, what do you think of the fit and the style on me? And what about the idea of making fashion decisions that are not always "reasoanble" if you love something? I think I know what the prevailing wisdom will be on that one
P.s. I will take some better photos tomorrow
