Denise thank you for the explanation about the vest. It is not a slam dunk for me and I think the proportions are part of the reason. On the other hand, this was not a very good styling.

Janet I sized down to the smaller of my two usual sizes. The cut of the jeans is interesting, I would say they are proportionally more generous in the waist and less in the legs than usual. So the waist is not tight on me, and the legs are a bit - the opposite of my usual problem.
Ankita and Manny you to a just a power duo of positivity. Keep recharging each other (my sister is with me right now too!)
Deborah thank you for your thoughts. There is something appealing about the oversize of the bigger one to me too. The problem is the shoulders are so wide on me it really makes me more of a block that usual. Love your suggestions always.

Vix I am very intrigued about your comment about the color of the light blue top. Light blue has always been a fall back for me, but my coloring is in a state of flux now, and it may be time to reevaluate.

Angie it is very difficult to disobey you as you know
and finally we had an amazing, exhausting weekend. My son was the star, and I was amazed by the kindness of our family, friends and in supporting him and us. I am still processing the experience (and I must say the alcohol) but will post some pictures in the next few days.
