NAS Substitute

This gorgeous leather jacket was just too good a deal to pass up - I thought it was somewhat reminiscent of the Classiques Entier leather jacket Angie recommended in the current NAS. Living in Canada, the cost of shipping and duty can add up and make an item unaffordable. This one is from Gap Canada so free shipping and no duty - regular $328 and with a current sale plus a promo running online today only, cost a mere $139!!! How could I pass up?

Angie (and others) recommended I wear what fits now (while on my weight loss journey) and at this price, if it only fits for a couple of months, that's just fine.

What do you all think?

I think it's a great idea! I'm in the UK and often use Angie's picks to find something similar here. It doesn't always work because the fit isn't always right but it's definitely worth a try. Good for you for dressing the body you have now!

I really like the color against the white denim on the model but am wondering - how late into fall can you wear white denim? (I keep hearing my Grandmother's voice saying you can't wear white after Labour Day!).

I was also thinking it could look nice with a black pencil skirt and boots?

That's a beautiful jacket, and such a great price too! Yay for items that fit our current body too.

I quite like white jeans tucked into boots later in the year as well, that way you might be able to wear them a little longer.
This jacket will absolutely work with a pencil skirt and boots. And with dresses too, see Kyle's recent thread with her killer jacket e.g.

Oh Inge - Kyle's dress looks fab with the jacket - thanks for the photo. Here's hoping it fits! I have fairly narrow shoulders but a larger midsection - so I do have some concerns that the shoulders may be too large but I know for sure that a smaller size would not be able to zip up - and I want the versatility of being able to wear it both open with dressier outfits at work and then zipped up with jeans when running errands on weekends.

I am totally enamored of this jacket!! I'm so sad that it no longer shows up on Gap search. It's actually within my price range. Here's hoping it gets restocked at some point in the season and we can be jacket 'twins'! Can't wait to see it on you.
Oh, and I wear my white jeans tucked into boots in winter with no qualms.
