I stopped by my local store, and tried on a bunch of items. These were mostly items for which I thought there would be a high rate of return for color or fit issues, so decided to check them out in person.
1) Halogen Sadie slingbacks- fun, TTS. Might order the nude-for-me, but on the fence since they’re not leather lined.
2) Aquatalia boots- gorgeous, and fits my calves. Alas, I’m being super picky, and really want a pair that is all/mostly leather lined, so I left them behind.
3) Ted Baker butterfly scarf- lovely print, but not quite me.
4) Treasure & Bond floral scarf- LOVE the weight and quality of this one. Ordering the navy version. Total surprise, as I’ve been resisting tassels. Reminds me a lot of the Hinge one that was a top pick last year.
5) Halogen cashmere wrap- lovely. On the fence, might order depending on what I keep from my other orders. (Find is the color I was hoping to see in person.) My store didn’t have the color blocked one that’s a top pick.
6) Halogen pleat detail skirt and cashmere button detail sweater. Both pieces were great. I would have kept the skirt, if I were in the market for a lighter weight skirt. For a cashmere sweater, I’m holding out for one with a more closed neckline.
7-8) Theory velvet blazer. Very much on the fence. Would love to have opinions on this one. Love the color, not sure about the length.
9) Mackage coat- Wow!!! Love! Except for the color. And, at this price, it has to be perfect. I would probably size up, to have room for winter clothes. If this had been teal blue, it would be mine. I can see why it’s a top pick.
