NAS Halogen kick cropped flares question

I ordered the Angie top pick Halogen cropped flares in two different sizes early in the sale when all sizes were readily available, and both arrived without the vented hems in the item description, and which I can clearly see in Marianna's forum post pictures where she is wearing these. Anyone else that have these and notice this?

Interesting, I just noticed the description states vented hems, but I think that's an error. I found mine in store so I never read the description. I tried on three different sizes and none of them had vented hems. I did however, notice there was another Halogen pant with vented hems in the back. Now I'm wondering if anyone else has vented hems on their kick flare pants.

I just looked at Marianna's pictures again. I see the vent you are talking about and recall thinking she was wearing a different pair of pants in the pictures with the Tahari coat. Maybe she will chime in and solve the mystery of the vented hems.

On Nordstrom's website for the pants you can also see, if you look closely at one of the modeled photos, what looks like a vent on the hem.

Claudia, first of all -- SO great to see you. I think of you every time I wear my beautiful Nicole Miller dress. Many many thanks.

Secondly, what a strange business! I completely agree with you that a vented hem ups the style quotient for this type of pant -- so clever to give that little glimpse of skin. I have ordered but don't have mine so I can't say if they will arrive like that.

I hope others chime in.

I went to my large computer screen and zoomed in on the pictures from the website. I can't make out a vented hem in any of the pictures. The hems pictured look exactly like my pants IRL.

I went and checked my pair. No vented hem. Now I'm wondering if I would like that. Keeping these anyway, though!

Yes, we are talking about the same Halogen Kick Flare Ankle Pants, I posted the find below.

The find I posted above is the pant I saw that actually has a vented hem.

Colette, if you look at the hem in the side shot it looks like a vent to me because the seams don't match up, but I could be seeing what is just an imperfect hem line... hard to tell especially in black.

Haha, if only I trusted myself with scissors or had a convenient tailor I'd do it. Maybe next year Halogen will add a little vent to the design, which I think would be a nice little detail and make me buy again. ☺

Sorry, just saw this. I was wearing two different cropped pants in that post. The vented hem ones are from LOFT. My Halogen crops do not have a vent.

Hi Claudia, and nice to see you. I can't help with these particular pants, but a similar thing happened to me with a blouse and a pair of pants I bought where the hem was finished much differently than the photos shown. I ended up keeping the blouse and the pants, because I liked them so much, but I was told by a rep that sometimes when the photos are being done for the catalogue or website, preliminary shots are done of the item, and then subsequent changes are made. Often, they don't (or can't in the case of a mailed catalogue) make the changes which can confuse customers.

I vote have the vents put in with a trusted tailor.

Haha, Dekaf4me. On my end I guess it was a case of confirmation bias and seeing what I wanted to see.
