Activewear.

This is almost a joke since I have been so inactive lately, but here goes...

I did not get a picture of the Nike capris, but I loved them. So comfy and slightly loose in my normal size.

Loved the Zella sweatshirt, but it is very fitted around the tushy. I had to size up to feel less exposed.

Zella live in capris. These were so cute with the sweatshirt that I couldn't resist. Regular size here.

Out of juice tonight. Tomorrow I'll post the things I didn't get. Some of them were awesome...

You got some beautiful things and I love your descriptions. Thank-you for sharing with us.

I'd say they run TTS, Inge. I take a 4 in Kuts but in these I got a 6 and they are snug but so stretchy they are comfortable. I think Kut normally runs a little big like NYDJ so these seem small but aren't really. They are long and will need to be hemmed a bit for me.

What a great haul, Carter! You found a lot of fantastic pieces that will work really well for you. I like your long-over-lean looks here. And that Zella outfit is so adorable. Wearing it will be an incentive to work out, won't it?

Thank you so much for the reviews!!!!!!! I can't begin to tell you how helpful all these reviews have been to me. I started a wish list with Nordstroms and will order confidently on Friday.

I look forward to hearing what didn't work for you later today. Take care.

You got some great stuff, Carter! They are all fantastic and will work for your style.
I love those Halogen booties on you.
Let us know which jacket you will keep, maybe both will work?
Thanks for sharing all those goodies with us.

just wanted to say how fun this post was….its like shopping with a friend. looks like you did pretty well. love the booties, and the tunics are fantastic, and yeah for the leather jacket --can't wait to see which one you end up keeping.

Wowsa, what a great set of photos and reviews. Thanks for all the work you did.

I have that Marc leather jacket coming tomorrow, and can't wait to see how the fit and quality is.

You have a great variety of new garments!!

The recap was so fun to read! Thanks for sharing. I was on the fence regarding the floral Halogen sweater for myself, but now I want it! Very pretty.

What a wonderful selection of items. It looks like your hard work has really paid off. Everything is fabulous.

I felt like I was shopping with you! It was great fun to read your reviews and see all that you bought. I especially love those gray booties -- have collected those for myself. You've got some terrific outfits for fall and winter here. What a fantastic day at Nordies!

Thanks for th recap it was fun to read and see you choices. You picked some great things.

What a great review/recap! It looks like you got some wonderful things -- I like it all on you! Enjoy!

What a fantastic haul! Thanks for sharing! You have so many great things. I've collected those gray booties as well. You must be exhausted.

Your photos and reviews are fun to read and so helpful. I'm on a limited budget so holding off for now, but have collected some of your items to try. My favorites for you so far are the grey booties, charcoal cashmere tunic sweater and cute Zella workout set. I love Munro and have been eyeing those black booties. I hope that they are comfortable for you.

You found some great stuff. Thanks for the reviews. I'm considering the v-neck cashmere tunic sweater.

I'm glad the reviews and pictures are helpful. I realize dressing room pics are difficult to really see, but I hope that at least you can see a bit of the fit. I sized up quite often yesterday, even when my regular size fit fine. I'm still loving the fluid and slightly loose fits of the past year or two. It seems that tops are "skinnying up" a bit this year. Maybe I'm just fattening up;-).

There were tons of things that I really liked but that I left at the store so there would be something left for the rest of you;-0.

These are the items I liked best. I hope someone gets them!

The Hinge woven hem tees were awesome! I went back and forth on these ad nauseum. In the end, I left them because the laundering instructions (hand wash, dry flat, warm iron) were more than I really wanted to do. I figured with my laundering skills, they would never look as good as they do brand new. Someone needs them, though. The fit and drape is fabulous. These are both my regular size.

The Nic & Zoe Cardi is gorgeous! Perfect fit, great feel. The only reason I left it behind is that I don't need this level of daytime "dressiness". If I were going to an office everyday, this would have been a keeper. Regular size.

The Treasure and Bond Striped Sweater was great too. I thought it was really cute on with jeans or leggings. This is my regular size. Super soft. Left behind because it was too heavy for my climate and current overheating.

For some reason I did not get a picture of the Topshop hooded cardi. It was located in the lingerie/loungewear section for good reason. It is over the top soft and comfy. Very over-sized snuggly fit. I left it because it would be too warm for me.

The Topshop black denim shirt was a nice heavy-weight denim. It hung great. It fit well in my normal size. Again, it was too heavy for my weather.

The EF black and gray striped sweater was nice, but the combination of the neckline and the stripes made me feel quite wide across the chest. For linen, it wasn't too scratchy.

This is the EF dress a size up from my normal EF size Small. I have ordered the black version in a Small, so I'm hoping that will work perfectly.

I think Sveta and all you tall ladies should try the Chloe K sleeveless tunic. I seriously loved it, but it was just much longer than I would like. This is my normal size. Someone get this one!

On me, these were meh. Most were fit issues. Some were just not "me".

I won't bother with much detail here, but feel free to ask questions if you have any. I think I missed a few pictures, but I'm attaching what I have.

Just a couple of comments:

The black/white/gray sweater was a fit issue. It seemed to have too much material where the white meets the gray. It possibly could have been fixed by sizing down, but I already had so many things I loved, that I didn't try it.

The pink "dress" I thought was a tunic. I liked the color and the fabric, but I felt pregnant in my normal size. Again, sizing down might have fixed that.

The Ellen Tracy dress is really pretty, and the feel of it is great. However, my super short waist is in the wrong place for the defined waist of this dress. The dress would like my waist to be just above my belly button. Unfortunately, my waist is just below my bra strap. TMI??

The EF blue sweater (clearance item, not a NAS deal) came yesterday. The color is really off from the website. I expected it to be much brighter. It felt kind of dreary. I'll have to re-evaluate when the disappointment over the color wears off.

No picture of the tencel shirt. Nice shirt, but the tencel was heavier than I've ever seen.

GREAT choices, Carter, and thanks for the great reviews! We definitely have similar tastes as one of my preferred silhouettes is long over lean and I have ordered a number of the same pieces you show here. Now I am anxious for my packages to start arriving which hopefully will be today.

Thanks, Carter. ALWAYS helpful.

Some of your "mehs" will be top picks because they were absolute winners on my clients. The EF striped pullover was surprisingly not scratchy on others. You look AMAZING in that top, btw.

You're also wearing the Topshop black shirt a little big. Did you try a size down? It IS heavy for your climate though. Great for Seattle. You were right to leave it.

Yay, Susie! look forward to seeing what you got.

I totally agree, Angie, that many things that don't work for me will be fantastic on others. Re the EF sweater. Scratchiness may well be just a matter of relativity here. I tried on so many insanely soft tops yesterday, this one had no choice but to feel less soft in comparison. I am quite chesty, so I more often than not, prefer a V neck to break up the span a bit. If this had been a V, it likely would have come home with me. I didn't try sizing down in the black denim shirt...I just stopped at too heavy for my climate.

Wow, some great stuff here, Carter, happy for your scores! I did LOL on your comment about the Ellen Tracy dress. I never find a dress which fits my waist way down, right above my belly button-usually they all want me to wear my waist upper (right under my bust-aka empire waists are much easier to find) which is totally wrong for me:-)). So, it is my bust, or my waist too low, now? Still LOL:-)).

YOU need to be a Nordstrom model. I'm getting so much a better idea of what's what here

Quick shout to say I love you in the floral topper and the jewel neck jersey dress.

Ok. Now have to go work on calming down the impulse to buy sweaters. Have no plans/need for sweaters... But you are tempting me with your finds!

Carter, I think I have 4 or 5 different black slim leg pants/leggings to try- the NYDJ ski pant plus their leggings, a faux leather legging that is a stretch (literally!) for me, KUT skinny pants, another ponte option and a cropped legging. Hopefully one or two will work. Last year I got the EF knit legging and they are really fab and fit more like a slim pant than leggings.

I ordered the floral sweater in both the dark and light colors. And I think I ordered the same cashmere tunic, in navy and charcoal. And a poncho style sweater, purple jeans, and bootcut jeans. AND I ordered several few toppers, with a few in more than one size.

I have a feeling my husband might comment on the number and/or size of the boxes delivered to my house!

Lyn67...that does a long way to explain why you can wear skirts so well, and they don't work on me at all!

RL--so funny! I do find it so much easier to envision how something will work on me once I've seen it on a "real" body, rather than a tall young stick;-) I'm kinda loving the floral too.

Susie, we will definitely have to compare notes (on fit and husbands!). I was in the car with my husband earlier, and the conversation went something like this:

DH: "So...you got a lot of stuff yesterday?"

Me: Yep

And there's more stuff coming today?

Yep

And still more tomorrow?

Definitely.

What about Friday?

Possible.

Next Week?

Hope so.

And you ordered different sizes in the same things?

Yep.

And you ordered 4 different pairs of black pants in multiple sizes just to keep one pair?

Maybe two, if I'm lucky.

And this is fun for you?

Oh, yeah.

Hahahaha.....thank you for the laugh! I love that conversation.

One thing that hubs can't give me grief about is multiples. When he finds a shirt or pair of pants he likes, he almost always buys 2 or more colors of the same thing.

Yikes! Lots of stuff came today, and I'm loving all of it. I'll try to post some pics and thoughts on the new stuff later.

Love the EF sleeveless dress in black, my regular size Small.

Love the charcoal cashmere open cardi, regular size.

Love the black/gray poncho.

Love the sweater tunic with front pockets, regular size.

Love the EF slim knit pants in both black and charcoal, regular EF size.

Love the NYDJ leggings, regular NYDJ size (aka, size down). I think I forgot to include these on the original list.

Love the FS suede loafers.

Think the Munro boots are going to be great. I forgot that I had ordered them already. They came in 8.5M. At the store yesterday, I ordered in 8W. We'll see which works best. Get this...they have a zipper on EACH side. A dream for getting my non-pliable right foot in there!

A couple things left to come from my original order, plus some additions I did yesterday.

How will I ever narrow this down to the best of the best?

Some fantastic items showed up on my doorstep today.

pics 1-2: The EF dress in my normal EF size is fantastic. Because of the camera angle, the length is a bit hard to judge. I'm 5'5", and it floats from the top to bottom of my knee.

Pics 3-4: The EF black slim pants. I love these. I said before they would have to be 11s to beat out the Vince pants. I will wait for my proper size in Vince, but these are pretty perfect. Pic 3 also has the charcoal cashmere tunic. Pick 4 is the non-petite version of the floral sweater. I think I like this better.

Pics 5-6: The EF gray slim pants. Again, these are feeling like keepers. Pic 5 has them with the Two by Vince tee and the CE leather jacket.

Pic 6: The gray cashmere open cardi. This one is unbelievable soft. Love it. My regular size.

Pics 7-8: The NYDJ ponte leggings. These are fantastic as well. Definitely leggings versus pants, but they loosen up a bit below the knee, which is great. Shown in pic 7 with the pocket tunic and in pic 8 with the poncho. Love the tunic. The only thing that gives me pause (for me) is the neckline. The poncho is fun. I'm thinking it will be great to wear over sweaters since I can't stand to wear a coat with regular sleeves over a sweater.

Pic 9: The black Munro booties in 8.5M came today (my normal shoe size is 8M). They are pretty good on fit. I do have the 8Ws on order, so I will wait to pick between the two sizes. I love that they have zippers on each side...so easy to get my foot into.

Pic 10: The FS flats may not be terribly cute, but they are certainly comfy. Likely keepers as well.

My husband's faves were the floral sweater, poncho, leather jacket and the flats. I think the rest overwhelmed him with gray and black.
