As in I honestly thought I was going to sit this one out.
#1 I found my boho dress, cheap. I checked online the stock at the flagship downtown, they said there was an XL in stock. My salesperson enlisted the help of someone to find in back. She said XL's were normally online only, and this was probably a return. I could probably have gotten a large, but my she said it looked good. Will pair with the Dolce Vita OTK boots. Bonus the dress is WAY cheaper than anything I've looked at, and of course those weren't even in my size.
I got the Angie approved Spanx faux leather leggings. Didn't try on, figured they'd work.
My sales associate used to work in lingerie at Neiman Marcus. I realized I probably need a new bra. I said last sizing I had about, uh within the last year, I was a 36 DD (or E depending). I used to be a 36 D. She did the eyeball sizing, as only one who knew their stuff, 36 G. Ugh, but dangit she was right. Still no cleavage as my boobs are scared of each other. I tossed the old 36 D in the trash there, and wore the Natori out. She made me put my t-shirt back on, and yes she was right, I did look better.
Completely unexpected bonus: Nordies had just started a Vans Pop-In. I was texting her before we met and she said go look, she said she liked the blue fuzzy ones for me, at the same time I was looking at those shoes and considering them. They only had the pink in my size in the store, I was tempted but she was right the blue was better for me. The blue are on order.
I also found in the Vans Pop-in a burgundy floral sweatshirt. It was on the men's side, I got a small. A important add to my fancy sweatshirt collection. No find as it's not on the website. There were some cute dresses, but VERY small.
Also got some Zella workout socks as mine current socks have dying elastic.
I tried on some jeans, but a 30, the largest was too small. She showed me some online, but I wasn't awed. I think I will hold off.
If my back didn't hurt I would have looked for more warm weather tops. But I think these things will help immensely.
It was a very quick shop, just over an hour. So I didn't even have time to get size angst.
