My Spring Colors - What would be a wise addition?

I've played a little with the Pantone colors for Spring tonight. It was encouraging to discover that I already have a few things that are usable in these colors. You can see what I already have in my wardrobe in my Evernote:

It's not a goal to have a lot in all these colors, of course. I'm most excited by the blues and the yellows, and I also like the poppy red. If I should add anything, what would you suggest? Accessories or garments, and in which colors?

Ingunn, this is a fun exercise. It looks like you are set for red and blue. If yellow is the other color that's appealing to you, why don't you work with that? I would get one or more of the following:

1. yellow skinny jeans
2. a yellow tee
3. a yellow handbag

Of the three I like the bag idea the most. You could get an inexpensive non-leather one (I always feel freer to get inexpensive handbags in the summer). Lots of fabbers seems to love their yellow bags even if they don't wear the color any other way!

I agree, yellow would be good! Just eye-balling it, it looks like you have a preponderance of red and blue already, so I'd go with something else that helps capture the spring vibe of these colors. You have only one yellow scarf (I'm biased, because I'm hot for yellow this season myself). You could also bring in more emerald...or what about that lavender color? I'm not sure if that dusty shade will flatter you, but it might be a nice counterpoint to the other primary colors.

I see mostly blue and red so I woud go with something softer. Both the blue and red are bold so I would bring in more of the greyed jade.

You are so organized in your thinking -- I feel like my suggestion would just muddy the water. I'd add a white skinny jean. White on white seems to be a great look and with the vivid and soft tones you have I think it would work well.

How fun!! I love this post, the colours and the pics! How about adding some green? You have the pastel green cardi and you have the lovely scarf. How do you feel about echoing some of that lovely green from your scarf?

OT - this was so inspirational that you got me hooked on Evernote! Have you really photoed all the pieces in your wardrobe?

I was trying to get a better view of your profile pic to see your coloring. I also think greyed jade would be good for you, to wear with the reds and blues to soften things up a bit. I like the cardigan you have - some pieces to go with that. Maybe a greyed jade shoe.

Yellow, cream, ivory or white item would tie the existing pieces nicely. Are you comfortable wearing white jeans? if yes, they would be a great addition to this.

I like this a lot! I can definitely see both greyed jade and yellow as very exciting supplements to my wardrobe. The green cardigan is probably at least 10 years old. It is in great condition, and I wear it a few times every summer. It could probably use a companion accessory to become less of an orphan.

So far I like the idea of
- a yellow bag
- a white bag
- white jeans
- a pair of jade colored shoes
- a pair of yellow Cons

Day Vies and Mona, you are spot on. I really need a white jean to tie things together in my wardrobe. How did you know that? I think you are beginning to know my wardrobe quite well:)

Harmonica, I've taken snaps of the greater part of my wardrobe with my phone. It isn't all that big:) Whenever I buy something new, I take a quick snapshot of it and resize the image to a height of 300 pixels in Preview (Paint does the same). I have created a lot of Evernotes that contain groups of wardrobe items: Tops, sweaters, skirts, dresses and so on. I paste my photos in the right category. Then I can copy/paste my items into all kinds of new groupings, to try out outfits etc, or as this one. I'm glad you try Evernote, it is very versatile and easy to use. I love that it is accessible across all platforms.

Haha, I'm mostly fantasizing here. The white jeans are on my list, but the rest is probably not going to happen. Maybe the clutch? It is very pretty, and not expensive. Hmmmm.

White jeans for sure - I bought my first pair last year and was amazed at how versatile they were. That's why I'm looking for a slightly better pair this year. I'm interested in the Levis as well - here's hoping they work for us!

In terms of the other ones, I think the clutch would be a great addition as a current trend. Are you thinking white or yellow?

I think white - the yellow one is nice, too, but my instinct says that the color is too dirty/greyed, looking a bit like mustard. Not sure about this, though. What do you think?

I got a great yellow leather bag last year (in photo) and loved it! It added such a great pop to all of the black and white I wear. There weren't many colors that it didn't work with. I am thinking of adding a yellow clutch this year.

I love your wardrobe selection! I also love Cons, so the idea of a pair of yellow ones really appeals to me. I'd then choose one other yellow accessory to tie in the yellow a little more - a handbag, pendant or scarf of some sort. I think you have plenty of really workable options to choose from! Gorgeous!!

I love your process of identifying pieces you already have and finding your wardrobe holes. I have been thinking a lot about this over the past few weeks, but have not done such a great job of analyzing it in such a concrete way. I think I'll have to try evernote!
I have recently purchased white jeans - as they seem to go with everything in my wardrobe. I have noticed that a lot of retailers at every price point are bringing in these colors for spring.
