Agree with others that it's the cut, though I've found cords in general to be not-very-thigh-flattering on myself. I haven't quite figured out what it is yet, but for me usually pant flattery starts with a straighter cut (vs. curvy cuts, even though I'm curvy) and ensuring the fabric is structured enough through the thigh.
