Jz, personally, I don't prefer soft, stretchy, and the potential "to cling to my thighs" type of denim. This was that kind of denim, if it makes sense. Although VERY comfy - it's not for me. I like rigid, cotton, hard, old-school denim with room and heft. So they're great jeans! Plenty of people like them! Just not my type of jeans
