So, my "style" has reverted a bit to easy and comfortable. I have 2 children and they take a lot of my morning, and I need my clothes to be comfortable and easy. I have a "uniform" of black or navy trousers, and either a sweater (in the winter months) or a top and topper in the summer months. I only do sweater or knit jackets and cardis.
I love the way dresses and skirts look I me, but I don't choose them at this point in my life. Shoes must be practical and comfortable, all the more so after breaking my foot and ankle this winter.
I kept all of this in mind during my NAS shopping.
My picks were:
Lots of bras in an assortment of sizes to see which works. I learned the hard way my size sells out fast, so if I'm off a little, I may not be able to exchange.
http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/vi.....21926?orig - (bought in 2 sizes to see which works)
http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/no.....eywordsear - (for weekend comfort)
http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/ze.....nalizedsor (Been waiting for these to go on sale all summer)
http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/ag.....rt&am (My black oxfords are no longer comfortable on my broken foot)
http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/lo.....?origin=ke (Again, need oxfords. These are a lower price point than the AGLs, but I will pay dearly for comfort right now)
http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/ha.....ordsearch- (I have been unhappy with Halogen's quality in the past, but I will judge this piece on its merits)
There was a lot to sort through this morning, but I found having a pretty clear idea of what I would and wouldn't wear kept me on track. There were a lot of beautiful pieces, but not necessarily things I would wear at this point in my life.
Happy hunting!
