Not likely Angie , unless shipping and returns are free . We’ll see I’m going by Janet’s sizing experience as she and I seem to be about the same size .

I hear you, Lisa. It's a "style gene" thing. Certain eras/ items just feel inauthentic or wrong on us no matter what. I'm the opposite when it comes to plaid and this type of boot -- as long as the boot is not too clunky it's a slam dunk for me. Like a Chelsea boot (of any description from the most refined to the more substantial.) Whereas a stiletto heel just feels wrong on me, no matter what.

This whole conversation is helpful and makes me smile. It's great to hear different views on fashion and style! Thank you Angie, Lisa, and Suz.

I went ahead and ordered the Pikolinos, the red sling backs, and the EF jeans. I'm still on the fence about the red boots but I worry they'd sit in the closet and I really can't make those kinds of choices anymore.

I'm going to stalk the VB pants because I really want them and can only afford them at the NAS price ... but otherwise, I'm done now. I'll be back when the box arrives.

I am so, so, SO relieved that I have never had a good fit in Paul Green and that my size is out of stock because it is out of my price range or at least should be. I somehow missed the whole grunge era. Law school time? But I would have loved Doc Martens.

I swear, I have to remind myself multiple times per day that those plaid boots are undoubtedly too narrow for my bunioned fussy feet and that it would be the height of stupidity to consider boots outside my budget that would end up being very uncomfortable. But I still swoon.

Deep breath. I will enjoy vicariously.
