As promised, here are photos of my NAS haul. Unfortunately, I still got home pretty late, and while the light is better than yesterday, it is still not great, but I won't be able to get home earlier in the day for quite a while (including weekends), so this is it for now.
Here are the items I am keeping from my two ordering rounds. I also got 2 bras and 6 pairs of undies, and the only item I returned was the VB striped blazer from round 1, and then ordered the VB striped moto for round 2. The only item I am not 100% sure off is the dress, and I will get on that in moment.
My haul consists of two navy moto jackets, two pairs of shoes, a pair of pants, a skirt, a dress and a blouse. I am trying to build a business casual work wardrobe, stay away from black and veer more towards navy. I am also trying to refrain from buying too many tops of any kind, as that is by far the largest category in my wardrobe. There may or may not be round 3 of NAS, as I need to sit down and do some calculations for my budget.
#1-2: Eliza J sheath dress. Great dress, well made and lined. It has a common dress fit issue for me: lots of excess material in the waist area, both front and back, due to the fact that the narrowest point of the dress hits higher on my very long torso than it should, and that my waist is of smaller size than my shoulders and hips. I am considering keeping it and altering the waist area, unless you give me different advice.
#3-5: LaMarque navy leather moto, Halogeen tweed skirt and Cole Haan suede wedges. In the leather moto I got my usual XS, instead of sizing up as the sire recommends, and I am glad I did not follow that recommendation. The skirt is TTS, perhaps a little small. I sized up half a size in Cole Haan wedges, which I usually do with that brand. The shoes are gorgeous, lightweight, well made and the footbed is very comfy, but they are 3" tall. I needed a pair of higher shoes to wear with my flares, and since I spend most of my at work sitting I think the height should be manageable.
#6: VB striped moto, Halogen ponte pants and pewter oxfords ( you have already seen this yesterday). Everything is TTS.
#7: Classiques Entier silk blouse. It runs a little large, but due to my shoulders I can wear it, and I do not mind that it is loose in the waist area as the silk is lovely and drapes beautifully.
