This year I've focused on things I can wear to work. I ordered them on Saturday 7-21, a day after the sale went public. I paid $15 extra for the entire order to be shipped 2-day. It was worth it! I got the first 5 items on Tuesday 7-24 and the last item, the jacket, came on Wednesday 7-24.

I ordered several dark bottoms for work.
7 for All Mankind b(air) black jeans. Returned. I kept two other pair of b(air) jeans in my quest for lightweight summer jeans that are dark, free of distressing, and sized up for a looser fit in the heat. The jury's still out on b(air). It's not as light as the prior Featherweight line, but I do like them. These weren't as good as the other two b(air)s I got via Shopbop so I returned these today. The fit was too legging for my taste and the fabric seemed not as good as the other ones I have.

Kut from the Cloth Donna jeans. Returned. I loved the hem length in a petite size, but they were very tight in the calf, which is a problem I never have (12.75" calves).

Wit & Wisdom bootcut jeans. Keeping. Love! They felt a bit large though so am ordering in a smaller size to compare. I may still keep the larger size but we'll see. Great quality for the price. The petite length is a bit too short for fashion wear but good for work. A longer length, while more stylish, could cause an unwanted trip and fall especially as the day wears on (when jeans sag a bit and get longer).

Topshop High Waist Skinny Crop Jeans. Returned. Not part of NAS. These were listed as lightweight but were not by any stretch. Too hot.

Aquatalia Fiamma Booties. Returned. So so sad. My plan was to wear them to work since they are both waterproof and slip resistant. But they are a bit too narrow in the forefoot while too wide in the heel, and the ankle opening felt a bit wide as well, even though that didn't bother me as much as the foot fit. The instep fit was fine (sometimes a problem with my high insteps). I read some reviews that said the same thing --narrower in the toe box while wide in the heel.

Avec Les Filles Shearling Biker Jacket. Keeping? You tell me. The whiskey color has not been available in my size since pre-selections, which I am not qualified to shop. So I ordered the black. And...I love it! Am I crazy? Even though I said to myself, "no more black jackets," it has texture and shiny hardware which add something.

Am I crazy? Or is this the wildcard I need for fall?

Pictures below - The jacket worn with the Aquatalias. 1) open with sleeves cuffed/rolled. 2) closed with sleeves as is. 3) back with sleeves as is. Would appreciate your feedback, I'll return the jacket if you think it's a miss.
