I keep reading this thread with fascination. I live in a somewhat remote area, and our second hand shops are *so* expensive, and have a really poor selection. Literally, I can find brand new items on the clearance racks at Target, Ross, etc for less than what the thrift stores charge. I did score a nice Ann Klein blazer for $5.50 the other day, but that was a rare find. Before I moved to this area, half of our wardrobes were second hand. Now we only have a few pieces. I still look- I just don't find much. I'm determined to make the rounds more often, though.

I too am fascinated by this thread - and loving hearing about all of your purchases! I can't wait to see the pics of all of you beautiful women in your $15. outfits!

Well I thought I'd post pics of my Feb spend of $13.50.
So ladies, here they are.
Lots of stuff here to help make my $15 challenges

Chewyspagetti, have you tried looking in other towns? Or when you go on trips to other places. It can be fun.

Bumping post. I'd love to hear what everyone thinks of my Feb shopping on a budget finds. The Poka-dot bag was actually just the bag that the ladies at the op shop used to put my purchases into. LOL. Picture 7 shows the detail on the green skirt. The buttons are beautiful It could be difficult to style though. I really want to have a go at styling this skirt next month. I was initially thinking Top 5 with skirt 10. But now I'm wondering if something brighter might go well, for contrast. I'm also thinking that the skirt really have a top tucked into it as the buttons and detail are worth showing off.
What do you think?

Has anyone else had any success at the $15 challenge yet?

I know Katiepea has aced it this month, but I'm not sure if I've missed posts from others.

All the best.
Belinda

Belinda what a haul! I'd be flat out getting 1 thing for $15! I love the stripey t-shirt and the 2 skirts the best, I can see them the top paired with either skirt with a bright colored belt.

Thanks Puffenstuff, great idea. I wore the stripy t-shirt yesterday with a pink floral scarf and jeans. Are you going to attempt the challenge? I might try taking a pic today wearing the skirt. Swimming lesson day today, and I usually wear something easy to get in and out of. This might make for a nice change.

Have a bash Puffenstuff, you may be surprised. Target are having quite a lot of clearance racks of stuff way under $15 if you are not into thrift. But alas, I think I've spent enough this month.

Katiepea's outfit was beautiful. I'm not sure what the breakdown was, but it was lovely.

Your challenge is an inspiration and I think you've done amazingly well! From the photos, I like 6, 8 and 2 the most.
The dotted bag is super-cute!

I think 5 and 10 would work, but you might add something bright to add visual interest. I see that the skirt has the loops, so it's calling for a belt or a scarf for that pop of color.

3 and 10 might work too, I'd belt the top with some dark belt (black belt and black boots seem like a good idea, or cognac boots and the belt that picks up a color from the sweater).
