Angie's hair post today got me poking around at old photos ... sadly I don't have any of my more experimental reds, although I never went too crazy with that anyway - and never permanent (in my early 20s, when temporary box dye did the job and met my budget constraints). But essentially, I've always been a dark brunette, with a reddish cast in the sun.
1. My natural colour, because I didn't dye at all during pregnancy and nursing (not sure if that's even a concern; just mentioning because that's how I know for sure this photo is completely natural) - aside - look at my sweet baby's cheeks. He is now 6'1 and applying for uni *sobs into teacup*
2. The lightest I ever did. This was fun! I would do it again, but I didn't love the effect of the bleach on my hair texture.
3. Now - as dark as it appears now and 4. as light as it appears now and 5. fresh from the salon. A good bit lighter than my natural colour, but still with some depth so it *feels* more like me. I trust my stylist, so I told her just to keep touching the roots up with the deep colour until it starts to look too harsh, then do the lift again ... I think I've got another roots and then a lift in the new year sometime.
Have you revisited any old colours this morning?!?
