Well thank you all for your wisdom! I am deciding whether to put the floral skinnies away until spring and revisit them then or just send them off to Goodwill and wave bye bye. Angie is of course right again - I need to be the boss of my clothes, not the other way around. Sometimes I wear myself out trying to make things work that really I am not comfortable wearing, both physically and emotionally.

Claire - I promise I won't get rid of my Wit & Wisdom skinnies.

So Shannon....not to delve too deep into territory you might not want to get into, but in case you DO want to get into that territory, WHY do you think you continue to try to make items work that just feel wrong to you?

Is it feeling badly that you got caught up in the excitement of a moment and bought them? Or some other reason?

I am thinking maybe this could be another thread, but I am wondering if shoppers can be grouped into different categories....those who make occasional (or frequent) impulse purchases and feel badly afterwards for buying things that turned out wrong, and those who go to the stores but bring back the same boring stuff again and again and feel badly that they DIDN'T ever try anything new?

And I'm thinking....both types come with some fashion risks. But you know...if you are type one, I think there are some major advantages to being that way as well.

Suz's question is right on !! I looked at your pic and think you look ah-mazing !! But who cares what I think. YOU don't like them..or at least are deeply ambivalent. Away damn spot ( er...skinnies ) !

I miss so many WIWs. I liked the outfit, I thought the floral skinnies, blue tunic top and clutch were so fashionable. I have seen you look great in skinnies Shannon. But I can see how floral skinnies, or for that matter any skinnies with BIG patterns, are hard to wear. I learned that lesson when I got these last year (I returned them). There was life after this fashion failure though, I just learned to purchased patterned pants with small patterns.

You could put them on hold until spring Shannon, what looks like a lot of pattern on trousers may be more manageable for you as bermudas or clams BUT if there is a chance these may still be orphans let them go and do not look back.
