I just saw this post and I am very sorry for your loss. I can feel your love and connection to him and I relate to everything you said (my dad passed away 5 years ago and I took it very hard). It takes courage for a dad to let his young daughter to fly away alone... My dad did the same for me and I didn't realize how difficult it must have been for him until I was much older.
Take care of yourself while you are grieving, it's important.
