Okay, so I had to look and see what naughty pockets are! I love back flap pockets because I have an apple belly and a small behind...I think back flap pockets give me the illusion of a cuter tushy.

Now, I just read an article on how to look great in jeans and it said avoid back flap pockets. But apparently Angie they have your blessing, and I like them.

The more I try to learn what is "right" in style and fashion, the more I learn there is no right, and there are lots and lots of opinions. At least I think that's right.

My white jeans are older version, thrifted gap bf's and I love the idea of bf white jeans - avoids the too tight problem with white jeans. I have my eyes on the Kut white ones too.

Angie I think you need new bf's without flap pockets to take the place of the Gap pair you clearly do not love anymore! Then chop, chop to the scissors!
You guys are great and had me smiling throughout this thread. The banter between Raisin, Sveta and VC was funny :). Shevia, you crack me up. Thanks!

Dana and Krish, I do LIKE my Gap BFs rolled and unrolled! I feel fab in them! And I will happily sport the looks similar to the ones I posted. It's just that I LOVE (it's not like, it's love) my white BFs and TRs, and prefer them over the blue Gaps for the reasons stated. I hope that makes sense!

Caro, to your point, I am not cutting up my Gaps just yet.

Raisin, I wear my white KUTs baggier than on the model because I prefer that look. I usually wear a 0 in KUT (my skinny KUT Dianas are a 0), but I sized up to a size 2 in the Catherines and they couldn't be more perfect. They fall off without a belt, so I always wear a belt with them, and very low on the hip too. I love the long torso silhouette! But I like belts and tucking my tops, so that's all good. If you want them to fit like the model - get a size 0. If you want them to fit baggier like I do, get a size 2.

Shannon and Sveta!!! High five my white jeans sisters!

No photos of my TR or white Catherines on YLF yet. Soon!

That does it, I will order a size up in the white Kut Catherine BF jeans just as Angie has done - so that means a 12 for me. Not going to worry about the number a la Sona.

Like I said, the size 10 pale blue ones from last year are great, but I am going to be brave and go for 'even slouchier' - if Angie can do it, then I can at least try. I feel pretty confident because these Kut BF jeans look great, no matter what their size. And just as an aside, I *think* these will work on just about any body shape.

Wondering what these will look like with the ladybug shirt in Angie's "finds" section? Or a blue denim shirt, and dressier shoes/belt? Just realized that I read somewhere that Sveta has the ladybug shirt. And she has the white BF's too.

Are you going to get them too Raisin?

Off to place my order

Thanks for the reply Angie. Are you wearing them in any of the pics on the site? I would like them roomy, but I almost never wear a belt, so I wouldn't want them falling down. I suppose I could get the waist taken in...
I'm also really enjoying wearing BFs, they've made jeans comfy weekend wear again, and would LOVE a white pair. Angie... another sizing question. What size do you wear in your Gap BF's? I'm not sure if you're sizing up in the Kut's , or sizing up compared to other things. I do really like the way my Gap BF's fit, and wouldn't want any slouchier. My Gap BFs are 29/8, so do you think the 8 Kut's would fit similarly? Or go 10?

I have been on the lookout for white skinnies without any luck so maybe I should switch gears and be looking for white BF's. You have me sold!

Poor Gap SBFs. Seems like they were a total gateway drug for many of us, and now we are onto harder stuff! I am with you and LOVE both colored TRs, while my Gaps were sold and my Old Navy pair come out when the day's activities are too gritty for my Good Jeans.
Hah! Rae. Getaway drug. Brilliant. xo

VC, I'm excited about your new KUTS!

Raisin, no photos anywhere. Perhaps you need to start wearing a belt :). Or purchase the size 0.

Elizabeth, the slim BF KUT Catherines are a smaller cut than the Gap SBFs. My Gaps are also a size 2 and fit larger than the KUTS. So if you keep the size the same, they will a little smaller.
Talk about enabling..
I put some in shopping cart. Not a white pants person but am at a loss this year for stone or khaki or similar full-length washable pants for casual wear. So I thought I might try this miraculous fit.
I love all of my Kut jeans. I recently found a Kut skirt at TJMaxx and it fits like a dream too. So I want to get some of these white jeans too. Are there two versions of Catherine? I'm kind of confused!
Well, I'm still madly in love with my Gap SBFs.

And maybe white BF jeans will take me safely into white territory? Just can't seem to get on the white bandwagon!

I think I need a white pair too!

I want to try those Catherines so badly! I had decided against it because my size is fluctuating wildly right now (in the "right" direction), but Angie, your comment about sizing up gives me hope that if they end up too big in a week or two they might still look OK?
Hmm. I am not qualified to comment because I'm sitting the BF jean out. Have to say, tho, the Gap BF seems so grungy hipster. As BFs go, I don't know, may be we're talking the cute, arty one that you just couldn't picture a future with...?

... jus' sayin'...

Angie, thanks for the recommendation. I've had good luck with KUT before, and I am definitely going to make a trip to Nordie's to try them out. THREE times I went to Gap to try on their BF jeans and each time I couldn't commit. Like you, I thought they just weren't long enough when when worn full length and too cropped when rolled. Can't wait to try the Catherine's!

Thanks for the info Angie, very useful!
Now to decide.....
Hope they work out Debs, Ceit and Elizabeth!

Christine, the KUT slim boyfriend is cut narrower than the the other style.

Pastrygirl, it's all going to work out.

Rachy, you've lost me. The cute arty one I couldn't picture a future with? Whatever do you mean
I have been desperately trying to avoid this thread b/c I would love some white BF jeans but am working very hard to be on track with my budget. Not just Gap SBFs.... YLF is a gateway drug!
Interesting Angie, but I find my Gap BF jeans to run smaller than Kuts. I have a different Gap model from yours though so this may be why?
I love, love, love the white jeans but am a little nervous about spending $79 for white (I have a very busy 2.5 year old boy) ... I saw those coral Catherine boyfriends and wonder if those are YLF-recommended like the white? Any advice?

And ... the Slim Catherines are the ones to get?

That's what washing machines are for. Get the white or the denim!

Sveta, sizing is so inconsistent.
I know I will love them ... and will love oxyclean too!
Naughty pockets? I don't know what those are, but I'm pretty sure I want some.

Go white jeans! I see why you like them. They are so you. And very summery, which works with this freakishly warm weather we're getting (up here in Vancouver too). But I have to ask: how do you keep them clean? I can't do it. I have one pair of white pants (not jeans) and they've got hand prints and a gray seat by the end of the day.
I don't know what naughty pockets are either, but they sound devilsh!

I can see the whtie jeans being workhorses because of the time of year. Although I adored your Gap BF jean outfit with the blush jacket. All the soft colors together is lovely.

I just cut my largest pair of Sexy BF to make shorts! And I cut my BR baggy knee grey skinnies into long shorts. I am scissor happy today!

Wooohooo scissor happy Ceit! I am still sitting on my hands.

Christie, I'm excited for your BF jeans

Naughty pockets are pockets that look cheeky - that's all. Nothing sexual. The TRs have huge back pockets with pocket flaps, which makes them look cheeky to my eye.

Elisabeth, I would share my secret with you if I had one. I wore my white AG stilts yesterday while shopping with a client - outside in a dirty down town city. They look fine, and I can wear them again. Our little Rosie is also carried a billion times a day and has dirty little paws at times. No problem. I guess I am instictively careful because I wear white coats, bags, jackets, shoes, belts, pants, tops and pants sans the fuss.

I'm going to enjoy my "naughty pockets" so much now that I know they are naughty

I'm thinking about the white catherines too, but I'm wondering if they are too similar to the very light wash blues I just bought.
Good grief, I love KUT jeans and I adore white denim too, so the Catherines need to jump into my cart.

Angie, I also have a very stormy relationship with cropped pants; in fact, we are not currently speaking to each other.
