I've bought several Muubaa leather jackets on ebay over the last few years and been pleased with all of them. Some vendors sell the end of season overstock (hence the lower than retail price) while others have what are referred to as "seconds" meaning there's some type of minor flaw that made it so it didn't pass their quality assurance standards (these are often greatly discounted compared to normal retail).
Because many of Muubaa's styles are meant to look distressed I often find that the seconds don't really look any different to the ones that aren't "flawed." So, for example, I have one jacket that has a distressed finish in a reddish orange/brown tone where it was considered a second because the dye finish was somewhat streaky, but it goes so well with the distressed style that I've actually had people compliment me on the unique "painted finish" of the jacket.
The quality of the leather is great. Moderately lightweight (but not paper thin weight), soft, not stiff leather, and with a lot of stretch to it so you can wear it snug and not feel restricted in movement.
I find them ideal for our Southern California weather here, where it's chilly but not freezing cold (although I get cold when the temperature is anything below 70 degrees). So I wear leather motorcycle jackets over t-shirts in the spring/fall as an alternative to sweaters or blazers.
Muubaa does have a tendency to run rather small, though. I have sizes that range from UK6 to UK10 in the jackets depending on how I want them to fit and I am rather petite but with a full chest (I'm an inverted triangle 34-24-33 measurements and not quite 5 feet tall). So if I size up I can zip it over my chest but the rest is bigger/looser and if I size down it is more of the slim, snug fit that looks like it fits me better overall but can't be zipped all the way up over my checst to my neck (something I almost never do with a motorcycle style leather jacket anyway).
Also, if I think I'm going to want to wear that particular jacket in the coldest days of winter or while traveling back east with heavier sweaters under it I definitely go for more of the UK 8-10 size in Muubaa so it will fit well with the thicker clothing under it.
I hope this info helps! I'm new to the forum and community and this is my first response/comment on a post. So thanks for asking a question I felt like maybe my answer might add some value to the conversation!
