Since I saw Jenni's comment about the song Sweet Home Alabama I thought I would share more info on Muscle Shoals music for any YLF music lovers. Sweet Home was recorded in Sheffield, Alabama at Muscle Shoals Recording Studios. The same studio where The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Cher, Rod Stewart....you get the picture....all recorded. "Muscle Shoals" is a music documentary that is worth watching and "If I Leave Here Tomorrow" is a documentary on Lynyard Skynyard's plane crash that devastated the band.

Several years ago, I was given tickets for a concert, for that night. It was a Bluegrass group I was unfamiliar with, The Steeldrivers. They were excellent! Later, I got a Grammy winning album of theirs. That was the first time I had heard of Muscle Shoals.

JAileen The Steeldrivers are based in Nashville, TN which is just a two hour drive from Muscle Shoals.
Lise and Angie lots of guitarist in the Muscle Shoals area - some work in studios and some play for fun. Local guitar shop "Shoals Guitar Boutique" ships very cool vintage equipment all over the world.
