Foundation with sunscreen. Eyeliner. Mascara. A touch of lipstick.

Sunscreen -every day always. As far as must do. Eye pencil upper outer 1/2, lower inner rim and upper inner rim outter rim. Three Custom colors makes great pencils for this use and I either use navy or smoke. Usually I use chanel power and blush, bare minerals eye compact in truth and for conceraler cle de peau which is fab and mascara from BE. But if I could only have one item it would be the pencil!! (okay sunscreen first than pencil!!)

Ooh, this is so interesting and fun to read! Thank you for sharing this with me...and your makeup tips too. I didn't know you could make your own tinted moisturizer by adding foundation to the moisturizer...and I didn't know that there are powder foundations. Like one of the posters mentioned, I had thought that cream blush caused zits, so I would have steered clear of it except for the responses here. And I didn't realize that eyeliner was so prevalent--lots of responses with that. Boy, I have really been out of the game for a long time...

It is so much fun to read all of the responses!

If I had to name only two, they would be BB (I use Dior) and Korres lip balm. That said, I never leave the house without more. I am so pale (light skin, eyes, and hair) that I really feel naked without more. I use a physicians blend bronzer that is very light - I use it instead of blush because I have a ruddiness to my skin and it doesn't make sense to add red/pink to it. I use a brow tint and mascara too. It sounds like a lot, but I keep it to a natural look. I also love the Laura Mercier Caviar stick...so easy to use and it stays on all day.

I have had a few makeup applications at stores and I have to say that I have never been happy with what they do. Their job is to show off the "colors of the season" and they don't translate well for me. Be choosy and pick what is right for YOU.

Good luck and have fun with it!

Level 1: Eyebrow pencil or gel tint, and mascara.

Level 2: Add BB Cream, concealer, Milani Luminoso blush, eyeliner pencil

Level 3: Add eyeshadow and replace eyeliner pencil with cake eyeshadow applied using the tightlining technique

Level 4: Add eyeshadow in several colours, contoured and blended. I have yet to master this.

Three-in-one stick saves the day, every day!
