It’s really hot and humid in my part of the world, with no relief for a while if the two week forecast is to be believed. I’ve had two sleeveless cotton button downs on repeat, but when they’re in the laundry, I’m out of luck! Decided to take a chance of finding some at our local thrift stores - but no luck.

However, I popped into the shoe room at My Sister’s Closet - and just about had a heart attack when I spotted a pair of Maison Martin Margiela sandals in pristine condition - for $32CAD! Leather sole, upper, and liner. No crinkles on the strap where it feeds through the buckle. Fit perfectly and comfortably, and IMO are pretty on the feet.

I tried on a dozen garments, but the only thing that came home with me (besides the sandals) were olive linen pants from sustainable EU maker Grizas (for $18CAD)

I located the trousers on the Grizas page, but not in olive. I’m using the white colour-way for my Finds photo, because it shows the seaming detail below the knee.

If any MMM aficionados or clever thrifters can help me ID the sandals, I would be ever so grateful! I do know that the ‘22’ stamp on the sole is something that is assigned to all MMM footwear, so it isn’t indicative of the year/season. I’m thinking the oval heel is from around 2016? Not sure if it was used earlier, or how long it was/has been used going forward.
