My online purchases are pouring in, and my rejects are going back out. The UPS people love me!

1/2. J Crew Ludlow Blazer and Velvet by Graham and Spencer split neck chalis blouse. I randomly paired these. Who knew royal blue and mint green looked ok together? I like the combination. What do you think of the fit of the blazer? (Please ignore my ill fitting skinny jeans, they were handy at the moment)

3. Lafayette 148 NY - Anne Vintage Roses Topper. This is an Angie pick. For whatever reason I was very attracted to this. I typically stay away from black, and I wouldn't really call this black. It's not really harsh. The color is called cloud, so maybe it's more of a charcoal. I have some things to wear it with. I think it may be a bit large. This is their smallest size worn layered over several items.

4. Paige Denim Tati ladder stitch linen top. I probably wouldn't have posted this but someone (sorry I cannot recall who) said they were having trouble finding non-sheer linen tops. Here is one that isn't too bad. I think I can get away without a layer underneath. I ordered two sizes and decided on the larger for this one. I like the drape.

5. Another linen shirt, Velvet by Graham and Spencer. This one seems maybe a bit small or short for me? I'm not sure if I should keep it? The color may be a bit on the warm side for my wardrobe.

6. I didn't take a picture, but I also purchased the DVF Esti cotton blouse. I really like that one. It's comfortable and I love the color. In the picture it looks like it may be similar to the Velvet by Graham and Spencer top. The collar and the hem line look different on the two tops IRL.

I love the blazer on you Staysfit. It's gorgeous.

#2 is a beautiful jacket BUT it doesn't do you justice. I think it is too big. I find your look to be modern and streamlined for the most part and this jacket just reads something completely different to me.

#4 & #5 are keepers.

I completely agree with Deborah. I really like the fluid t's but don't think the blazer is right somehow. Just not soft enough on you or something.....

Hooray! Now I have three blazers that fit me fairly well. It's been so hard for me to find them in the past. The other two are from WHBM and are picured below.

Thanks everyone, I'm suprised no one likes the floral jacket except Angie, but I kind of like it. It's definitely different from what I typically wear. I need to think about this now. So many negative reactions make it hard to stick to my convictions about something! I have a pink sheath dress I am planning to wear this with. The jacket has some pink in it. It's hard to see in the photo. I thought it's looseness would pair well with a fitted sheath. I tried it on with this to see if I could make it more versatile. Maybe not?

The blazer fits you very well, and you're right, those colours are lovely together. I'm not keen on the other jacket, but the two tops are gorgeous on you - beautiful fit and colours. Your wardrobe is coming together beautifully.

I formed my answer first but then read some of the others as I was scrolling down to type mine - I'm also surprised there's not much love for the floral blazer, I like it a lot. In fact, I like it slightly better than the J.Crew, and I'm a J.Crew gal at heart. It looks to be a little shorter on you than the model (in the sleeves, the overall length could just be that she's wearing a shirt underneath), but regardless, it looks great on you and I love the style and print.

I like the other tops too (great colors!), I don't think you need to size up in the last one but you're concerned about the fit, it wouldn't hurt to try a size up for comparison.

Another vote for floral - I actually like it better then the jcrew jacket. It is different from what you usually wear but works and looks gorgeous. also i know lafayette well and know that jacket is gorgeous in person and fabrication is lush which doesn't photo well.

I really like everything. I'm not sure about the floral jacket; I think it is a question of styling, not the jacket and you, necessarily. But it looks as if you don't feel happy in it, and that in turn makes it unwearable. So onwards to better things.

I absolutely LOVE your white WHBM blazer on you. I also wanted to tell you that if J. Crew jackets are typically a good fit, you might also have luck with BCBG jackets; those work really well for Karie, who has a similar body type. She picked up two there last spring.

I think you have made some excellent purchases SF. I too am a little unsure on the floral jacket. It looks a touch short and boxy in the picture but that could just be the angle. You have a gorgeous feminine shape that has angularity so you can play up either aspect. My personal preference is to play on the femininity but different strokes for different folks.

The JCrew jacket fits you well and hits at a nice spot. The drape on the tops is exactly what I meant about playing on the feminine. To my eye they are soft and drape and accentuate your curves.

I think so much is in the styling though -- and that sometimes can color my responses. The floral jacket provides softness and femininity so I don't feel like it needs the necklace -- for me that takes it into a more ornate/decorative style than I associate with you. I find the WHBM blazers absolutely gorgeous on you, very flattering and sharp whereas the J Crew is much more of a menswear shape so I'd want more feminine shoes to balance it out.

Staysfit, sometimes you just have to take the forums' responses with a grain of salt. I've gotten plenty of negative feedback here on items I like in real life. I will admit, it can make me feel less good about wearing them, but I know it shouldn't, and it usually doesn't. I know that not everything I like will be everyone's cup of tea. And not everything I like will look entirely consistent with my style as it appears here on YLF. Sometimes I just don't really care if I'm looking consistent with my style, if I feel good in what I'm wearing!

And keep in mind, the photos do not always show items to their best advantage.

So I would say, hang on to that floral jacket, and don't feel shy about showing it to us with your sheath dress and other outfits that you have in mind for it!

The size small floral jacket was too large in the torso and shoulders so I returned it and kept the petite, which was the smallest size available, and I believe the next smallest size. I think the length is fine. It hits slightly below my hip bones in front. The back is a little longer. I guess that's hard to tell in the photo. Maybe the layers distort proportions? The sleeves may in fact be short. I have long swimmers arms. They're great for pulling through water quickly; they're awful for fitting into Blazers and long sleeves of any sort.

In any case, I plan to keep the floral jacket. I like it with my pink sheath dress. I think it's ok the way I photographed it here. It may be a wildcard item in my wardrobe, but I don't think it will be a closet orphan.

Wow, these are all crisp and trendy items and great looks. WOW again! Will also be a spammer as I LOVE you in jacket nr 2(with the roses!). I think the boxy cut is very intetional, and nobody could sport the look better then a you (a slim&fit bod). Pls keep them all!!!:-)

I think your plan for the pink sheath dress is good also because it plays the jacket over a column of color with no other "lines"--meaning I think that might showcase the jacket and its striking pattern better than the stock photo showing it layered over a longer shirt.

I really like the linen tops on you - perfect colors! I also like the Lafayette top - don't know what number that is - but, I think its a great rendition of the floral trend. I'd wear it sans the necklace, but that's just my own personal preference. I'm not keen on the J. Crew jacket. To me, the shoulders look too sharp and the 2 button style looks rather dated. I much prefer the white WHBM jacket that you got earlier. That one just seems to have a much more beautiful line to it - without the rigidness/stiffness that I see in the J. Crew jacket.

The floral is the best IMHO. The one that doesn't do it for me is the ombré. Maybe too close to tie dye for me. (I'm scarred by tie dye. Other people got proper school uniforms. Ours were tie dye t-shirts. You just know we never won a single game of rugby or a swim meet.)

Rachy, so sorry for your negative associations to tie dye! It reminds me of summer camp in the early to mid 70's. Tying t-shirts with rubber bands in as crazy a way as we could and squishing them in coffee cans filled with dye. Our feet were always blue and pink afterwards. Always a barefoot project. I'm sure our parents were thrilled!
