More shoe K/T fun

These Modern Vintage pumps are what I call valet shoes. I make sure hubs is willing to valet park the car for dinner so I don't have to walk much. Definitely sitting shoes. I've only worn them a few times as a result, but I keep them because they're unusual and funky. I love the cutout heel, and the chain strap is fun.

But they are a few years old now and I'm wondering if I should let them go. What do you think? I do have other, more comfortable, evening or event shoes, like my Rockstuds. But I do still like these. Not sure if they look current though.

Thoughts?

I just realized my foot may look more tortured in the photo than it actually is. Hard to take pics of your own feet.

Hmm. Hard to say. Is there any time you would reach for these instead of the Rockstuds? That might be the decider.

Good way to think of it, Suz. Hmm, these have a more edgy appeal than dressy. Black is easier for me to work with than the nude and gold in the Rockstuds, but I also have some black Claudia Ciutti platform peep toes (also valet shoes) that read more refined, whereas these are more rock'n'roll. Hubs does like these but he likes almost all of my shoes.

I'm on the fence. They do look very rocker, which is you, but I don't know, if they are only "sitting shoes", I think they won't get much wear.

I think you should keep them another year and the reevaluate. You like them, hubs likes them, they express a certain part of you. To my eye they are not of the moment but not dated.

You seem to really love them and not be ready to let them go. I'm with Adelfa. Keep them and put them on watch. If you're wearing them in the next several months, or just still happily eyeballing them in your closet, they may be worth the closet space.

I think they're great looking. Edgy and dressy at the same time.

Always a hard one - would you buy them again knowing what you know now? If you wouldn't then maybe it's time to let them go.

I like them but Modern Vintage does not make comfortable shoes. I once had a pair that I sold after one wearing. They were that uncomfortable.

Ouch! I am wincing just looking at your feet in those shoes. I guess if you still like them, then hold on to them a bit longer - and re-evaluate later!

I would pass. I would have kept the burgundy boots though! The rockstuds rule, I agree with Shevia.

Um, if you happen to be a size 9, then these are totally redundant, and I'll help you by taking them away. If not, then I think they are different enough from the rockstuds to merit keeping. It's tough to find a heel that skews tough and isn't too delicate.
