Well I refuse to do Boden cross-border shopping, and NAS is still limited/complicated for Canadians, but I do have access to free shipping & returns at our very own Simon's! And they have some very fine fall florals which just arrived today. On the far right is the Herschel's backpack I already posted about. I haven't done my try-ons yet but I'm quite excited. Everything from Simon's in house brands ICONE and Contemporaine.

What lovely prints you posted. While I usually wear solids, I do go pattern and print crazy in the scarf department. So I hopped on your link to check out scarves, shawls , ponchos and capes- great selection for a sporty classic like me.
I am just amazed how many of you are on the ball with filling fall wardrobe needs. I am sooooo not motivated this summer as I sit in a sundress in 90 degree temp- lol. I will definitely curse myself when the first cool day of September arrives.

efbgen, I do understand about the weather, that’s why I’ve been shopping online, can’t face the dressing room at all. I was actually on Simons.ca looking for home decor, but their fall stuff just jumped out and said ‘me’ or maybe ‘MINE’! But I haven’t rushed to try it on, yet.

ETA -- Boden shopping is actually pretty good. It comes from the UK for us and you pay all duties etc. up front. Shipping is FAST. I did have to pay to return items. But I figured that was the opportunity cost of figuring out how their items fit.

Suz, I've learned the hard way that I can't order from anywhere that requires me to pay for returns. It becomes a barrier to returning stuff that isn't quite right. I need free returns to choose freely, it's just a quirk I have
Simon's online fit calculator put me in a large... I had my doubts because in typical S/M/L sizing my upper body frame is really a medium, with weight gain determining whether I sometimes need a large to accommodate my hips/breasts/arms. I'm also hoping to be slimming down this fall due to weight training, so I wanted a slim fit. However they are using XS to XL sizing, so 5 sizes, and I'd say the large is about a 10, which fits me very well most places and just accommodates my slightly larger hips. I'm quite pleased and will probably keep most of the order.

Chiming in re: Simons. Shopped the Ottawa store last summer with DS #1 who is a challenging fit tall (6 ft 4.5 in) and very slim (165 lbs). We scored with 2 pair linen slacks that were LONG (!), a liberty print shirt, and 3 of the best quality mens T-shirts I have ever had the pleasure to purchase. The store had a Nordstroms feel about it and even a little in-store coffee shop. #1 loves his Simons garments and they are all still in excellent shape 1 year later.

I'm a bricks and mortar shopper, so I forget about Simons since there are none close by. I must get over my aversion to on-line shipping.

I love Canadian tv shows! Thank heaven hulu & Netflix have lots of them on offer.

I am a B & M shopper almost exclusively. I cannot figure out sizes from online sites. Even when they do the helper thing I never trust them. I also have an aversion to online shipping.
I never seem to get into Simons. There is a big one at Square One in Mississauga. There is also one (maybe more) in Montreal. I will check those out next time I am there.

Those florals look great Jules. Love the backpack. I might order one in a different pattern. I do trust those because I have seen them IRL.

I've been to the Montreal and Quebec City stores but didn't have an opportunity to try things on and so could not estimate fits. I should try an online order from them at some point. Thanks for the reminder.

Ok, I am putting that backpack on my Christmas suggestion list. I LOVE it! I have never been in a Simon's and they are never on my radar unless someone mentions them here. I suppose with free shipping I should be considering this resource a little more seriously . Love your stack of florals

Canadian ladies, I also keep meaning to mention that some reduced form of Danier is back (has been for a while apparently). The website selection and feel was not very impressive last I looked, but I plan to keep an eye on the brick and mortar that popped up again in the Toronto underground PATH. I still love my blush moto and purse from them and really don’t see comparable quality or design at their price point.

The "new " Danier has been around for awhile now. It's in an outlet mall here- same old stuff, nothing very interesting. Dark and weird bare-bones store. I think we have had this discussion on the forum before about it.
