MNsara: how were the Blue Essence jeans?

I saw in another post you're not keeping them? I would love to know more, as I was considering the red pair before I leave for Hawai'i on Saturday. I am LOVING the cobalt skinnies so far.

Sorry if you already posted about them elsewhere! How did the rest of your haul work out?

I will be watching this post because I am wanting a red or blue pair, Did you get the cobalt Essence jeans Alaskagirl and how did they run, Sorry I missed the post. My computer is on the blink and I am using a small Laptop.

Some info so far: I ended up bringing home cobalt Stretch Twill pants in 8 Petites. The color is EXACTLY the same as the J Brands and the feel of the denim not much different. They seemed quite a bit slimmer through the calves than the JBrand. The fit is quite a bit higher rise than J Brand, but not quite right for me and I can't tell how much of this is because of being petite. They aren't quite obscene, but they are NOT flatterng.

I've just ordered the 6 regular to try. My store ony carries the petites

I took a couple pics, but they are so unflattering that I hesitate to post them. . . still considering it. . .

I just got my red ones delivered today and am wearing them to see if they stretch out. They are a different fabric and were called "Eliot Skinny' . They are jeggings and the red isn't super vibrant. It would be a nice autumn red!

When it rains, it pours because at the NRack today, I brought home a pair of these in size 6 for $29.97!! They are SUPER fitted and must stretch out if they are to stay.. . .

II'll probably think of more info, but hope that gets you started. . ..

I have some pics that I will upload when I can get my son to return the monitor for our desktop (where the camera software is).

But my cobalt non-petite Blue Essence came today and I am very impressed! I had just returned every other pair of contenders and had only kept one J Brand pair. The Blue Essence rival the J Brand!!

I got BE in size 6 which is pretty consistent with NYDJ & Kut - all a little generous.
I might prefer the extra length of the BE over the JBrand and I'm fairly short legged.

Did you get yours at the store, so you tried them on? Did you get Petite or Reg?

They don't have the bright red twill ones online that I saw in Petites. Online they only have the dark red Eliot Skinny that are jegging/lean like.

Oh, thanks for the info. I was wondering about this brand, too. I worried they'll bleed in the wash, but I guess for a good deal I can deal with it!

Jenava - I think I might actually do the first washing with white vinegar thing with all bright jeans. I just haven't had to wash anything yet.

I've never cared if fading happened with regular denim, but these brights matter more!

These pics will not stay up long!! At least the ones that feature me!

Anyway:

1. here are the JBrand (left) , and Blue Essence (right) side by side for color. JBrand has larger rear pockets than BE.
2. JBrand have a false front pocket (stitched only), BE have a true front pocket
3-5: JBrand - notice how they reach my ankle, but no scrunch. Not sure what this would mean for winter wear i.e. no sandals or stockingless. Also, 1-2 inches less rise in front
6-8: Blue Essence Stretch Twill Pants - when I remember to unroll them see the extra bit of length - I think I like it but not sure

Wow, both look great on you and for the price of the j. brands you could get the others in both blue and red! There really is no difference in color. Cobalt seems to be everywhere...

I ended up with the BE red in 4P - I started with a 6P but decided it was a little too baggy, and the 4P is still very comfy. Yay us!

Ooh, I think I agree with you: BE unrolled FTW. How awesome that they are the exact same lovely shade of cobalt.

I like both, slight preference for the BE because of the rear view. Not sure if it the angle. Great color for you, I think you can't go wrong with either.

I just bought two pairs of Blue Essence jeans at the Rack and I'm really impressed. The sizing is definitely a little generous but the fit is so nice! This brand seems new to Nordies (I think?).

They look fab on you, Sara!!!

Marianna, I've never seen them before either. Agree they run big (or true to non-vanity sizing!)... but they are comfy and just as nice as the designer brands.

Thanks MNsara for all of your post and info. on the pants. I think I like the Blue Essence on you the best. I like the longer length and higher rise. I just ordered a pair for myself and I hope I am finished with NAS.
