*waves madly*
Hi gang! It's so nice to know I am missed! I'm writing this from a restaurant in a tiny town in northern New Mexico where I'm delighted to have wifi while I enjoy dinner and a beer.
I took a photo workshop (on presenting oneself to the fine art world) in Santa Fe that was amazing -- the leader was terrific, and the group bonded so much we already have a very active Facebook group. I've been to a few photo workshops, but this one was especially meaningful. I'm hoping this will help me launch the next stage of my career.
Since then, I've been wandering around NM. Today I made friends with a junkyard dog Rottweiler named Duke while photographing old trucks, visited Georgia O'Keeffe country, took a nice strenuous hike, and found some railroad cars I plan to photograph in the morning. I'm having a blast.
i am not a very fab dresser on these kinds of adventures, but I did get compliments on my blue moto back in Santa Fe. One of the ladies I made friends with at the workshop proclaimed it very "me."
Oh, I tried on the most. Perfect. Ever. (For me) Cowboy boots back in Santa Fe. Black with hammered studs all over. I fell in love but it was not meant to be -- they had a 7.5 and an 8.5 and after trying them on with all possible sock options, I knew I am definitely an 8 and couldn't fudge it. Oh well, they were ridiculously expensive. But if anyone knows a good source for Old Gringo boots and happens to see them in an 8, my husband wants me to get them. LOL
I'll be in touch more when I get home. Hope y'all are doing well!
