I have to say I really like it

Thank you Rachylou and Cee. This is comfortable and a break from heavy warm stuff that I will need the rest of the week.

Beautiful winter white with printed blouse! Nice looks all together- enjoy seeing it .

Joy, Nikki and Bonnie, you gals are looking fab!

Thank you , slim cat and Angie.

Such lovely outfits - you wear and combine your black and white items so well. I particularly love the micro fishnets and bow shoes, so elegant. I wore my black and white summer dress and thought of you!

I feel honored that you thought of me when wearing that beautiful dress, Bijou..

My standard black and white outfit for work: All Saints jacket, old GAP trousers, black belt from BR and graphic tee/ jewelry from my previous work Lucky Brand jeans.
“You be my Tim and I’ll be your Faith” - written on the tee shirt ( for the concert of Tim McGraw and Faith Hill ).

Here is today’s black and white outfit. I have few pants for winter that fit. These you see are Paige Hoxton black jeans . The white sweater is an old one from Gap. It washes well and does not pill. I am wearing an EF scarf and black fishnet socks with old silver flats and the same fringed suede bag I wore yesterday.. My pearl earrings do not show. Do the sweater and/or Bag look too dated. It may be time to cut my hair and wear it down?
I can probably do a week or at least three days of Black and white outfits each season. Black seems to be my dark neutral and white my light one.

Looking cute again! I rather like this with your hair pulled back; it’s very polished that way.

ROCKING KILLER, Slimcat!

Always sooooo cute, Joy! The scarf is delicious with your hair.

Slim cat , that outfit is awesome on you. I love the concert tee with your black jeans and jacket.

What I wore today. After Angie’s blog post I had to add some plaid, but a scarf, no black and white plaid pants left. What do you think? Is the scarf too much going on?
Pants are black EF. Top is a clack EF long-sleeved tee ( cotton and silk blend. Black and white cardigan is consignment and a size or 2 too big. Does it look it? Should I give it away? It does not have shoulder seams and hangs open in the front unless I use a decorative big safety pin to hold it together. Small bag is second hand and white booties are from The Rack last year.. I am wearing sparkly black and silver socks that show through the openings in the booties .

It is snowing. This is my black and white for today. The pants are Cashmere and Cupcakes brand, velveteen with ribbon racing stripes on the sides (#3). He sweater was thrifted a couple of years ago. I like it but it is rather short so it does not get much wear. Here I am wearing a black rash guard under it to keep it from feeling scratchy and give some length. I have also wrapped a slriped silk scarf around my neck under the sweater so that it just peeks out and is not scratchy on my neck ( #1).
Shall I donate this sweater? Does it look too short? The small bag is second hand and the shoes are very old patent Me Too flats kept because they are dressy flats, something hard to find when you need them, here worn with lace topped fishnets from Amazon. Does this look silly? The ribbon bow on the shoes echoes the ribbon on the pants.

More great looks, Joy ! I feel the shoes are pretty perfect in your last post and love the peek of red in the one before it

Joy, I LOVE the look you posted right after the blog post with 3 patterns and white boots. KILLER FAB

Love all of these outfits and I think the sweater looks great and you should keep it. You have the best scarves and accessories.

Thank you, Bonnie. I will keep the sweater for now. It has the needed amount of warmth for a cold winter day. I enjoyed wearing it.
I am now moving on to a new mini challenge. Instead of brown and black, I changed it to blue and black because navy is my spring dark neutral and I want to put as much time as possible between now and repeating it in the spring.. You who are playing along do what you feel is best for you. I will do black with brown next week.
From the black and white capsule mini challenge, I learned that I have enough black and/ or white items for deep winter, but also have others that would be better for warmer weather. So I plan to repeat the mini challenge when it is warmer. I wore 17 pieces ( bottoms, tops, indoor topper, or dress) over 7 days, repeating some bottoms. I will retire a pair of pants for sure and a long sleeved tee will be demoted to undershirt as it is pilling. I could use pewter boots or booties, and a pair of warm white wool pants. Layering less warm clothing has not been warm enough for these January days.
I will start a new thread for this week.
