I like the midi idea, because they pass the sit test far easier than some other dress styles.

Fun! I am looking forward to it!

I love the AT skirt too! So how long can we shorter ladies go on the midi skirts, Angie? I know you've said just below the knee, but I just got a maxi skirt I want to hem and I'd like to dare a little longer (mid-calf) for something a little different (and because the skirt is very breezy-- gauzy polyester gathered at the waist).

Patience, it depends on the style of the skirt and whether you'll wear flats or heels. Try just above the calf first - that way you can go shorter if you need to

Boo-hoo. It's off the site -- already!

THAT'S HOW STARVED WE ARE OF LONGER SKIRTS.

Anne, tuck in your top and wear your waistband higher. That will create a longer leg line on any skirt.

I snagged this on my way home from work on Friday. I couldn't do the matching top (WAY too much red for me) but picked up a black long-sleeve top in the same fabric that gives it a color blocking effect. Will post pics tonight as I need input about whether to size up or not--it is definitely a fitted look!

I received this skirt today. The color is fantastic. It's a two layer jersey tube with one seam down the back, with a narrow lingerie-style elastic waist. Because it is not shaped at all, on my pear-shaped body the waist lies at the very low hip, which puts the hem just below the widest point of the calf. The material is that heavy slithery jersey that shows every bump.

I'm taking it back - I expected something more structured at the waist. I can't think what I could wear on top with this skirt besides something that comes down past my butt. I don't think a smaller size would be better as the skirt fits my hips.

This skirt might work for a very rectangular person with no significant difference between waist and hips.

hey, katja, try a wide belt to anchor the skirt at the waist.
