I'm a bit behind on the goings-on around YLF lately, but recently - I was wondering about wearing white jeans in fall/winter for me - I bought some nice white jeans in late spring, but then it became too hot to wear jeans or full-length pants of any kind. Still have brand-new, pristine white jeans hanging in my closet, unworn. I like the style and colour, but I live in such a hot place in the summer that jeans of any kind (especially full length) are just not happening.
Wondering if I should return them or if I can find a way to wear them this fall/winter season. I have to admit, I've always liked the look of white jeans in winter, just that it's not something I see outside of blog posts and fashion magazines. Kind of liking the idea of pale greys, whites and so forth for *winter* instead of summer.
That said, there's no way I'd be able to convince DH to wear white jeans ...summer or winter.
This isn't to say I don't like the idea - I think it's fab. Just that it's not something that I'd be able to talk DH into. I'm still working on talking myself into it
Great post - thank you!
PS - I'd like to keep my white jeans - the ones I ordered in May and haven't been able to wear yet (110F will do that to you). It's now down to about 88F, but still a bit perplexed by the idea that bright white is 'only' for spring/summer. I wouldn't mind wearing the white jeans with other tone-on-tone whites/grey colours and so on. I keep thinking of the snow and how white jeans would look beautiful with other nature-inspired 'winter-y' colours. Thing is? It seems white is considered only a spring/summer colour. Silly, because in winter, there is more white outdoors than ever.
Like I said, I'm behind on the forum/blog goings-on, but I would *love* to see some sort of 'formula' for wearing white jeans in the fall and winter.
