I just tried on a pair of me too flats and had to go up a size for them to be comfortable in the toe box. But that made them too long and my foot slips out a bit, not a lot. Do they run narrow? Are different styles wider in the toe box. Any recommendations on cute summer flats for wide feet, narrow heels. (I think that is my problem.) I so relate to all shoe issues.

This is exactly the problem I had with Me Toos. I can't say I had any success. You can try a heel grip but that didn't work for me--still fell off. Perhaps one of the styles that has an elasticized collar might work for you. I find that they usually dig in too much for my comfort, but surely SOMEONE must have success with them. Wish I could help but I have more or less decided that Me Too isn't the brand for me (at least their flats)

Hmm...which model did you try? I haven't tried very many styles, but the ones I have tried have been fine in the toe box. It could vary from model to model.

I have the same problem - I've also decided that Me Toos are just not for me. I normally wear a 6 1/2 and had to size up to an 8 to get a comfy fit in the toe area (both width & length wise). I guess I just have long, wide toes!!!

Hmmm, the MeToo Swans and Lila styles are borderline too wide for me (but great with inserts) so I've thought of them as running wide. My feet are regular width.

Jean, I just tried on the Me Too Garner flats and had the same problem with the toe box. (I have narrow feet esp. in the heels, but my toes are long and more or less "straight across" instead of slanting down like most people's, so narrow toe boxes don't work.) When I went up a size the width fit my toes, but there was a lot of extra room at the tip of the toe box and my toes kept slipping up when I walked.

Then again, I bought a pair of Me Too ballet flats a few years ago (a style not carried anymore) that fits great and has a much rounder toe, so maybe it depends on the style.

Has anyone tried on the Nevada or Nolano Me Too's? Are they as comfy as Swanns. I would also agree that Swanns are on the wide side (but to-die-for comfy!!!).

I finally picked up a pair of Me Too Nini flats -- a birthday present to myself when I knew I was going to have a very rough day all long on my feet -- and I finally see the light! I bought my regular size and they were fabulous all day. I'm still skeptical on some of the other styles; I think you have to try them on in different sizes to see which ones work, but I am in LOVE with my Nini's!

Please post if you find something that works- I have the exact same problem with wide foot, narrow heel and I am committed to finding something nicer than what I've been wearing. (Angie would cringe.)

I tried the Nevada flats but the ribbon binding rubbed the my skin uncomfortably so I sent them back. I'm sure they would have caused a blister if not a cut after a long day of walking.

I'm starting to suspect that ballet flats are not "long day of walking" shoes, unless they're more like slip on sneakers.

Hmm Maya good point about the ribbon bit. I didn't even notice that on the shoe! Hmm what are the chances they will re-release the Swann's I wonder?

Jewelrygirl where did you purchase your 2 pair of gorgeous flats? I am in love with both pair and would like to try them.
I am wondering if the Me Too Swann's are difficult for some of us to wear because they are quite bendable in the sole? I could not take one step without them slipping off and there was no room to go down a size. Perhaps I need a shoe with a more ridgid sole.
Also KristenP do you have a link to the Nini's? I probably could search for them at Zappo's.

San, I bought them both at Von Maur. It's a local store we have. http://www.vonmaur.com/ I don't see them on-line though. You may need to call the store & have them shipped. I believe they will do that. Let me know if you want more details & I'll see what I can get for you. I've seen the Bandalino's at Younkers also & on-line. I only saw the Bronze Bandalino's & the Snakeskin Dolce Vita both at VonMaur so far though....

Oooooh, they did not come in bronze at the store I was in! I will have to hit my local one, too. I am seriously crazy about them.

I also picked up a cute pair of coral flats from Target today. They won't be 8-hour shoes like the Nini's, but they'll be perfect at work with all my new pants.

I found the Nini's at DSW. They are very cute.
The shoes that Jewelrygirl bought from Von Maur I didn't see on their website. I found the Bandolino's at Zappo's but no snakeskin Dolce Vita. (Is Dolce Vita related to Dolce and Cabana?)

The Nini's are the ones I own - and LOVE. But, I would never call my feet narrow. I have normal-ish feet all over, with bunions on the toes therefore calling for nearly wide shoes at the toe box. I wear a half-size bigger in any ballet flat, including the Nini, to accomodate my foot widening as the day wears on - because there's little arch support. It is true the Nini's slip off my feet, but only for about the first 20 minutes or so, then my feet start sweating, since they are not made of leather, and inevitably swelling, and they stay on just fine.

GG - if your feet are narrower, you may want to try Cole Haan. The shoes are more expensive, but they are very well constructed and last and last and last. Plus they have the air nike technology in them. My second favorite pair of ballet flats are Cole Haan's. They aren't *quite* 8-hour shoes, because they are narrower for my foot. Many of their models cut right into my bunion and I can't wear them at all. But the pairs I have are constructed in such a way that part works - while they are just a tad tighter in the heel, yet not so bad they leave blisters - possibly perfect for you?
