Oh you bet I am Jem - and I'll be letting them know I will be taking my business elsewhere. Doesn't matter if it's a $5 shirt or a $100 shirt, poor workmanship is just that.

Sveta - I think Rocky needs to rest after his traumatic day and besides, I already have tomorrow's outfit in mind - to help unveil the new GLASSES! They arrived today.

Oh, what a story! I was going to say how sorry I was and that you should insist on dry cleaners compensating you; but then I read about the magic trick with t e steamer! Who knew! You are definitely meant to have nice things and you should wear this shirt proudly.

Rocky! That's such a bonding you two have been through!

I'm glad Rocky survived to be worn another day. We're still looking forward to pics

You are nicer than I am - I would have insisted they replace the shirt and *then* tried to fix it. But maybe that's why the shirt gods worked this miracle for you.

Glad Rocky is back in the ring!

Good grief! I am, like, exhausted after reading this whole saga!

But YAY for the save!!!! Hugs to you and Rocky!!

So sorry for the shirt. I would make their life hell until I got the replacement or refund for the damage. Good to hear your shirt is okay now!!! Hope to see some WIWs with it...

That is Ah-Maz-Ing Shannon. Yay for Google and being Ms Resourceful! And garment steamers (I need one!)

Wow! What a great story! Hopefully all the rough patches are gone now!

I totally need a garment steamer.

Shannon I am glad this story ended well for the shirt! And it is a great top for us to tuck away for future reference.

To Lyn's point about a garment steamer, was that what you used, or was it the steam setting on a iron?

Holy smokes... Rocky hahahaha. I can hear the theme music in the background as you have the steamer in hand...

I am glad the story had a happy ending. Anyhow, I wouldn't go back to the snag cleaners. Not cool.

OMG,this story had been keeping me on the edge of my seat! I am so relieved that it has ended well. I hope that this is the start of a long and happy relationship for you and Rocky.

Wow! What an upsetting experience, but what a terrific save on your part!

Rocky, I love it. Our 16yo amazing husky mix dog is named Rocky, and he's certainly been through the ringer as well! I'd say the name bodes well for a long and happy companionship.

I love the idea of people naming their beloved clothing and accessories. The only problem is I can't help but imagine Rocky and Dottie et al hanging out, going to parties together, etc. They start to have their own secret lives! Which maybe they do!

Late to the thread, but I'm glad you and Rocky made it

Wow! Great news, Shannon!!

For anyone who is asking, yes I used an actual garment steamer not the steam setting on my iron. I won a garment steamer in some sort of draw about two years and at the time thought it was such a useless thing to win and I have used it a TON and love it!

Mochi - Rocky and Dottie! Ha ha - love it!

Shannon, that is amazing. I am lovin' Google !

Rockie, Monty and Dottie!!!

Attagirl, Shannon, and well done, that Rocky! I managed to miss all the early angst and excitement, so veryy happy to find a happy ending down here!

great tip and glad for the good outcome!
