I’m very sensitive to anything even the slightest bit scratchy or itchy, and it seems to be getting worse. Any tag that’s touching skin is removed. My seam ripper is absolutely essential.

I clip them all out, except ones that state the garment must be hand washed or dry cleaned.

Tags in the back of the neck do not usually bother me, so I will leave those. However, so of the care labels are so long, they annoy me. Once I have read them, I will remove them.

My approach has been very similar to yours, Carla.

I only cut them out if I discover they annoy me while wearing them — it rarely takes long to realize when they do! I hate the booklet length tags inside the sides of garments — usually at the waist. I cut them out after confirming that the laundering instructions aren’t anything unusual.
