I have an obssessive fear of looking lumpy, dumpy, frumpy, so I completely relate, but you, My Dear, don't look any of those things in any of these pictures, so get that right out of your head!

I'm going to disagree with many here and say that I like the shirt tucked in. You have a super-sexy shape that is ultra feminine. That shirt tucked in emphasizes that shape. If you are typically uncomfortable about it I can see how you'd feel funny.

That being said, I really, really love the second set with the darker shoes and the white jacket. I like the way the belt is a little cockeyed instead of through the belt loops, as that definitely gives you a more rock-n-roll edge.

It's hard to step out of our comfort zone, but you're doing a fantastic job. Hair and makeup are super!

Thanks so much for all the comments and suggestions!

I ended up wearing the black shoes, white jacket, longer tank, and the belt hitting lower. I plan to pick a up a larger belt so I can have it go lower and actually stay there.

Honestly, yesterday was one of those days when I wondered if I should just stop spending so much money on clothes and instead just save it up for some serious liposuction.

It was fun to step out of my normal girly girl style (can I really even say I have a style yet?) and shoot for something a little more edgy. And I liked it!

Thanks again!

Natalie- I was thinking about your outfit this morning while driving somewhere and realized that the white jacket worked so well because it added "weight" to your top half and thus balancing your pear figure in a way that black on top + on bottom didn't.

That makes a lot of sense Kim!

NK - Good for you for trying to get outside your box and you did great. I'm glad you stuck with it. I love your outfits, esp the ones the ones with the top untucked.

I think the white jacket worked exceptionally well because it was extra eye-catching, hence drawing the eye upward, which is what can totally flatter a pear shape. NK looks really good in white - which made the trick even more effective.

No liposuction required. You are perfect in the body you have now. Work with it and continue to explore your style. And of course you have a style! Keep pushing those fashion boundaries though. Style evolution is fun and necessary :0)

Thanks again! My white denim jacket is new, so I'm glad to hear it's a winner!

I appreciate reading what everyone said, and I'll keep working on this look.

NK I'm really late to the picture here, but just wanted to say thank you to you!

This was a perfect "tutorial" in how just a few little tweaks made such a difference. I absolutely loved the tweaked outfit and think you looked awesome.

I hope you had a fab time last night.

Hee hee! Thanks! I feel like I was just the guinea pig and everyone giving advice were the stylists. It's too bad I don't always have the time to post a picture before I leave the house to get tips every single day!
