After Lisa posted about the boots from Little Burgundy, I went to try them out. One of the boots wouldn't zip properly and my usual size 8.5 felt a bit short. They didn't have the purple/burgundy in a 9 so I couldn't try them. I posted here and found out that there was a stitch on the edge of the zip that caused the problem but didn't get around to following up. I forgot about them for a week or so but saw someone wearing a really nice outfit with a colored higher shaft boot and checked it out again. I ordered the size 9 and they were here when I got home from Ottawa. They also had the stitch but now that I knew, I could removed it. It is hidden on the inside.

It is a bit strange that the 8.5 felt short but what is labeled on the box as a 9 feel quite big and my heel slips up and down when I walk in them. I noted that the clear sticker on the bottom of the boot says 10 and the inside tab of the zip says 40/10. It makes me wonder if perhaps I had the 8 at the store and that is why it was a bit short or if the pair I got online is a bigger size. I know there are sometimes inconsistencies in the conversion.

Did anyone else get theirs? I know a few ordered them. How did you find the fit? If you could check to see what the size says on the bottom compared to the inside of the zip and what you ordered, I would appreciate it. I do like the softness of the leather and the height of the shaft and would give them another chance if the sizing is wrong.

Thanks
