L'Intervalle shoes?

Hello all! This is mostly aimed at Canadians on the forum -- wondering if anyone has experience with L'Intervalle shoes.

I picked up a pair of leather L'Intervalle leopard booties at Winners the other day (similar in the find below). Not a walk for hours boot by any means, but for me a reasonable sitting or short outing shoe that brings a very different style to my closet than anything else I own. Part of the reason I'm prepared to commit to them is that they cost me a whopping $22 CAD, making them a very low risk.

This boot is no doubt several seasons old, but I found a very similar style when I went hunting L'Intervalle's website for an image to use to create a find. Then I discovered that the similar style to the one I bought is available in white leather.

I also found this mid shaft boot in cream, with a heel I think I could just manage for dressy occasions. (It also comes in mustard, and I love a yellow shoe...)

They have a really big sale on everything right now, but of course all sales are final. I am trying to convince myself that it might be worth taking a chance on at least one pair of the white boots if they fit similarly to the ones I just bought.

If anybody knows anything about this brand's sizing, consistency, quality, or shopping experience, I'd love to hear it. Because these are not shoes I would wear a ton they don't have to be Aquatalia quality, but they do have to not look or feel like total junk.

I'm only aware of them - never tried on, seen in person or purchased anything . They are not on my radar as I assumed the price would be out of out my comfort zone - but they aren't at all . Winners had them? Cool

Thanks, Tanya - the squared toe makes them a bit easier on the foot, and they look good. I like the very trim fit at the ankle, too.

Angie -- I knew you'd like the silhouette! They reminded me of your white booties!

Lisa -- you just NEVER know what you're going to find in Winners. I took a fabulous pair of white Club Monaco pants into the dressing room the other day - beautiful fabric, my kind of cut -- I was so excited. But while the hanger said M, the label in the pants said S, explaining why they simply would NOT go up my hips!!! Of course they were the only pair.

I was going to say never heard of them and thanks for the tip, but see that I am already following them on instagram Probably something that got advertised to me due to following other Canadian brands. Montreal does still seem to have a surprisingly large shoe industry (whether made or designed/owned there). And yes, often a wider selection of colours than we typically get in the pared down offerings from international brands that are sold here. For this brand I can see why I haven’t noticed them on IG, because they seem to feature heels heels and more heels. But I will take a deeper dive on the website!

Yeah, Jules, they seem to do tons of platforms and high heels, but you can filter on their website to get to the low heeled options, and that helps. They seems to have quite a good selection of designer dupe chunky boots, but from a quick peek it seems that the heels get most of the space on IG.

I guess it has become my hobby to troll Winners and Marshalls regularly in search of treasures! You have to go often because the good stuff or potentially good stuff moves in and out so quickly.

Just realized I’ve seen their store at the Eaton Centre Eye-catching but again mostly heels and a bit of a younger clubby vibe when seen all together (I’m sure individual styles could be rocked by anyone who wears heels! But I’ve never been tempted inside the store despite enjoying the window displays). Your booties are a great find!

We’ve had a store in our local mall for a few years now and there are always sales. The quality is certainly decent for the price but I’ve found the fit to be really inconsistent. That said, I wore a pair of their heeled mules for at least three seasons.

No experience, but holy smokes those are great looking boots - and leather! I think the square toe is very modern looking.

The local Winners used to be amazing, then gave up a lot of space to Home Sense plus Covid, and the clothing side took a dive. It’s getting better, but the shoe section and bags section has been shrunk down.

Finds below are my Winner’s scores this year (since January). I saw some Massimo Duty, Zara, and Kate Spade the last time I was there. Not shown - a Simone Perele bra! Nothing cost more then $40 CAD!

Wow, that’s a score! They’ve been on my radar since Lee at StyleBee spotlighted the brand a few years ago. I’ve tried on a handful of pairs in Montreal, but none of them were right for my feet. They have some great designs though.

Re: Winners, I don't mind the hunt, but for some reason I leave empty-handed.

The last thing I bought were sneakers for DD five months ago.

I've had better luck at Marshall's for some reason, although I haven't been to one in over a year.

Carla, you've had some great Winners finds! I totally ignored that slip skirt when it came in and now I'm kind of sorry.... I looked at that striped blouse, too, but had to admit I am unlikely to iron it.

One of my better WInners scores in the last few months was an Eileen Fisher white cotton sweater. Today I brought home a Vince Camuto blouse for next to nothing. If there was 20 pounds less on my frame I'd have had an amazing pair of Club Monaco pants the other day. Can't 'win' them all, I guess....

Thanks, Suz! I think they will be considered to have worked out if they take me through even a small handful of occasions. It is a lot of work scrolling through their site to find the non sky-high platform options, but I think the odd item in there could be very interesting.

I've been shopping at L'Intervalle for quite a few years. I think the Ottawa store at the Rideau Centre might have been their first outside of Quebec. I have quite a few pairs of shoes (slides and mules, both low and mid heel) and boots. Love their stuff. The quality has been good on everything I've bought. The sizing is European so can be a bit tricky. I'm a size 6 and I think most of my shoes are 36 and my boots are 37. I personally don't do final sale unless I've seen/tried something but that's me. I don't seem to have any pics of my shoes in finds but these are my boots. I get compliments on both of the navy ones.......
