responsible for them anymore, nor is any other woman. They are in charge of their own emotions and responses, and if you’d truly raised them to treat women as equals, as you say, it wouldn’t matter what their
classmates are wearing.
Needless to say, the young women at Notre Dame weren’t having it. In response, they hosted a 'leggings pride day.' On the Facebook page for the event, the hosts write, 'While well-intentioned, White's viewpoint perpetuates a narrative central to rape culture in implying that womxn [sic] and girls are responsible for the actions and reactions of others.'"
