Ooo! Fun question. OK, let's see...my latest four purchases were, from most recent down:
1. Replacement charcoal boyfriend cardigan. I wore the last one out. This one has a screen print of the back of an anatomical skeleton (skull/torso) on it. No change there -- I got it from a shop that does interesting botanical/zoological silkscreens on their stuff. The skull/torso print is one of my favourites. Sort of straddles the line between technical illustration and 19th century gothic horror. I have that print on a black blouse too.
2. Military green Rag and Bone canvas skinnies, with interesting pocket details. Not much change there either -- I'm a fan of casual skinny jeans, so these aren't a big jump. I'm moving more and more towards military green these days. I've always quite liked it, but now I can't seem to get enough of it. It goes great with black, gray and white, colours which are heavily represented in my wardrobe. So that's kind of new I guess.
3. Replacement tiny silver hoop for one of my ear piercings. No change.
4. Black J. Crew wool suit jacket, to wear with jeans and a tee shirt. Classic cut, falls at low hip, subtly shaped at waist for a woman's figure. Same cut as the heather gray one I got last fall, which I have worn a lot. I'm new to blazers (the gray one was my first proper one), but they feel right for my style. In this at least I am branching out.
5. White button-front 3/4 sleeve classic shirt. To add to my growing collection of shirts!
Hmm, seems like my style isn't moving forward very fast, but I'm moving slowly towards more pulled-together, less girlish looks. Still prefer to stay away from bright colours and bohemian flowiness, but now there are adult silhouettes -- blazers, shirts with collars -- to add to the casual mix of knit tops and jeans that I've always favoured.
